Piggies will soon be ours

These little piglets will soon be ours, well atleast two of them. Before they were even born, my husband asked my cousin, Binson if he could buy some of his piglets when they were born and he agreed. After all, he couldn't say no since my husband brought the money with him already.

Buying the piglets before they were even born is called bakus in our language, bakus means belt and the practice means locking up to buy. Such practices is not only applicable to hogs but also to cattles and buffalo and goats, as far as farmers and the likes agree.

A month after their agreement, the piggies arrived bringing so much joy not only to the owners but also to me and my husband too.

The sow (mother pig) is muddy too, at the moment I took these pictures, it was raining non-stop for a few days and my cousin has not yet made them a house.

My cousin planned on putting tarpaulin as roof yet my husband offered his newly bought second hand roofs (which is still usable) as payment for the money he still had to pay to him.

Paying a Visit

One Sunday morning, we went to the farm and paid a visit to the pigs. I got very excited to see them, finally, after years of dreaming of having my own, things are coming together.

My cousin and his family were not home at that time but the pigs were just outside his house that's why we were able to come near them.

The piglets wasn't tail ducted and teet clipped and I am pretty sure they were not yet supplemented with iron but I will be able to do it some day.

Future Plans

My father in law agreed to take care of the pigs, and he was very enthusiastic about it when he knew our plan that one of the pigs will be slaughtered for mine and my husband's mother's birthday this coming April, hopefully God will allow it. Our mothers share the same birthday and that's what make it special.

Our mothers share the same birthday and this year, we planned on making it better than we had them last year. It's priceless to see their smiling faces which came from the heart filled with so much joy and happiness. I can't wait to see them on that special day.

I really enjoyed watching the playful piglets run towards us as they thought we brought food and running away when they thought we brought harm.

My son got entertained by the piglets too! He wished he could get close but as he nears them, the piglets run away from him.

Soon, the muddy piglets will be mine.

This will be all for now, thank you so much for your time and attention. See you around.

Keep safe!

Parang ang saya mag alaga ng piglets. Ang cute nila. Pang handaan talaga. At least one down ka na sa menu. Kaso nabasa na ng anak ko ang book na Charlotte's Web, di yun papayag na mag katay ng pig. Haha.

Advance happy birthday sa mom mo at sa mom in law mo.

di ko pa nabasa yungbook n ayun sis, may movie nyan noon diba, pero di ko din napanood. babe at babe in the city lang. Naging normal sight na yung pag katay ng baboy at manok for me sis but I don't enjoy it honestly.

Yay! 🤗
