Today is my son's moving up ceremony but it's like graduation ceremony. Also, during the ceremony, I was notified by @hivebuzz that I had been on Hive for three years and it made me very happy!
Three long years and I am very thankful that I was able to join hive with @jurich60's help and all other friends I made along my journey.
I admit I don't make posts and comments daily but I do love Hive and everything in it. I hope I won'tbe very busy in the following days so I could have more time here with you all.
Anyway, again, it's my son's graduation/moving up ceremony today and despite the changing term, my son wore toga and graduation cap and went to the stage to bow, thier school year achievement was presented, and was confirmed graduates then received their certificates.
But since my son is still four years old and will turn 5 on November, he had to go to the same level again next school year. Nevertheless, I went to celebrate my son's first educational achievement today.
It started as a usual busy Monday morning, Laling went to her school for her moving up practice, and hubby went with her. They took Czak first to Nanay's house so he could prepare there with Nanay since the barangay hall's covered court is just a few steps away. I on the other hand went to my workplace to do my work and responsibilities.
I promised to go home at 12 noon but I got caught up with work and was able to make it home pas twelve. I was very hungry already and went straight to the kitchen to eat my lunch. I changed clothes and went to Nanay's house to help her prepare my son. I brought with me my son's shoes which hubby forgot to bring with him that morning and a kid's mono block chair for my son to sit on.
We then proceeded to the covered court and everyone was already very busy preparing for thr event. The stage were already decorated and the chairs that everyone brought were arranged. The one which we brought was put on the back part and I went to the group where my son belonged.
Good thing the other parents were too kind enough to let me know who comes first before me on the line and gave me and my son the copy of the program proper and the ribbon.
We stood on the line for almost an hour, dark clouds were already brewing on the horizon which made every parent banxious and the kids bored. My son was already sweating a lot since he had to wear graduation toga over his uniform. I diverted his attention by taking photos and talking him.
Soon when the municipal representatives arrived, the ceremony started by and the kids accompanied by the parents went up to the stage and bowed.
I was delighted to see that my son sits in the front row and on the edge of it. Back in the line, I asked my son if he already had lunch and said he has not, though I did not believe him 100%because Nanay makes him eat on time and especially now that he has an event to attend to.
I bought him biscuits and drink and while waiting for others to finish their thing and proceed to their respective chairs, I made him eat and drink.
There were many kids, about 200+ from different parts of our barangay and so it took a while to finish. The faculty members were very busy tending to kids and leading them to their seats.
After his snacks, he got bored waiting for the next activity to be done but he just a sat on his chair while others misbehaved and cried so much.
The boys at the back disarranged their chairs and mad efun at somebody. And perhaps other parents did not get it that their kids were hungry, and felt hot, bored, tired and sleepy. Early afternoon is kid's nap time and I'm sure most of the kids still take their naps on afternoons. Infact, Czak complained about it and I bought him another snack just to get his attention diverted and get energized to finish the program.
Soon tribute to parents followed and I was not able to hold my tears when I saw my son's teacher cried knowing it is her last graduation to attend to because she will be retiring already. My heart hurt a lot as I felt her pain. Glad a kid went to hug and comfort her. I could not upload it here in ecency so i uploaded it on YouTube instead.
Picture-taking took place after and I had my son pose with his teachers for remembrance. And oh, I just remembered that I as not able to get the photo a photographer with dslr camera took while waiting on line.
What's worse is that I stepped on someone's shoes while stepping back to take this photo. And I bet my kids will never ask for their floating balloon next time.
Everyone dispersed after the ceremony and as I took the chair I contributed, a man selling balooons took my son's weakness by putting the balloon on his hand and left me no choice but to pay for it. It costs almost 2 dollars and I was defeated. I kept telling my son not to buy the balloon because it's way too expensive and will not be eaten and now the balloon is gone when daughter untied it on the chair where I tied at home. So there goes my 100 pesos, gone in just a blink and it felt frustrating.
Today's event is successful and I hope that on Wednesday, on Laling's moving up ceremony, it will be as successful as this one.
To celebrate, we bought meat and made soup with it. It was very simple celebration, enough to acknowledge Czak's achievement but we made sure not to punch a huge hole on our pockets.
So this will be all for now, keep safe and stay Happy!
Happy Hive Birthday @yoieuqudniram
