Unexpected and unplanned moments are the best; it lasts in memory and it will always have a special place in your heart. More so if these moments include the most wonderful gift from God – the nature!
For one of our subjects in our midyear class, we were tasked to make a documentary about biodiversity. At that time, we were swamped with requirements so we didn’t actually have firm plans on we’ll do it. Some of our group mates are also from different municipalities in our province.
After shooting the video for our requirement in arts, we decided to visit the Baluarte Zoo in the city! I think that was the first time I went back to that place after the two-year long pandemic.
The zoo is almost the same as before. There were only minor changes like the tigers - there were lots of them before but now I don't know where they are.
The first cuties that greeted us are the parrots.
This one is so adorable. They gave him slices of papaya down on the cage and he picks it one by one and eats it.
This one I think is older. It looks familiar so it must've been there for a long time already. Though seeing this one makes me sad. How I wish these creatures are in their natural habitat and have the freedom to fly wherever they want to go.
Nonetheless, these animals were trained; they are friendly and give happiness to people, especially the kids. Lastly, they receive love and care from the the zookeepers and the people who visit them.
Now, let me show you some pictures that I captured.
We we are able to feed the zebra!
There were many iguanas, snakes, and different types of rodents as well.
If you got tired of walking around, you can hire the horse carriage which is more fun!
So many deers are just walking around the zoo, eating grass.

After this very tiring day, I just stayed in my bed after I got home. My body is tired but my soul is restored. We successfully finished our school requirements plus we got to have a brand new experience to keep.
It was a day well spent at the zoo indeed.
All pictures are mine.

To be honest, those unplanned gala talaga ang the best eeh. Coz mas natutuloy pa aha kesa dun sa naplano na, lol.
Anyways, I always wanted to visit a zoo din sana coz seriously, di pa ako nakakapunta sa kahit anong zoo, lol. How i wish we have that in our place. Seems you all had a good time there ☺️
Oo nga haha yung mga napaplano, hanggang drawing na lang talaga. By the way, soon I know makakapasyal ka rin sa mga zoo. Tiwala lang. 💕
Reading that the tigers were not that many compared before makes me think "what happened?" I hope there's no something bad happened to those tigers :))
Tsaka maganda yang performace task nyo na gagawa ng documentary about biodiversity tapos need nyong pumunta sa zoo. Mas maaappreciate nyo kasi yung biodiversity kung maeexpose kayo sa lugar na may biodiveristy
I also prefer animals to be at their natural habitat. However some of them no longer knows how to survive in the wild. The blue parrot looks so beautiful and its interesting we have lots of deers too!

Nakakatuwa naman to, unplanned gala talaga ung pinaka masaya sa lahat tama si ate ruffa, ilang years na din simula ng di ako nakapunta ng zoo, dito kasi sa manila sarado pa din ang zoo namin.
In all my life, I haven't seen a zebra in person. How i wish i could see them in person and if possible i could touch the stripes in their body.
Yes, you're right @yanyan13, unplanned getaway is sometimes more fun and amazing than planned ones.
