Hello my amazing Hivers! How are you? I hope you're doing well. It's @xavierariz and I'm back again with another story to tell.
Are you ready for Christmas?! Well, lighten up your spirits as you read my blog, where I'll share everything that happened during the City of Bogo's opening lights ceremony. My hometown's annual Christmas lights ceremony is back! This year's theme: Enchanting Christmas Ceremonial Lighting. The event was held at the town amphitheater, and started at 8 in the evening. However, my conyo baby and I were super excited, so we showed up ridiculously early – 5 p.m.! Which kinda make sense since our curfew was at 10 in the evening. To be honest, it was the first time that I was allowed to attend such a celebration because my family are somewhat strict.
When we arrived at the plaza, we took some pictures first and sat on one of the benches, admiring the different Christmas booths. There was so much that happened that I'll make another blog featuring the themed booths, so stay tuned – it's going to be exciting! Moving on, we burst out laughing when we realized we'd gone out without extra money. I told my partner we'd withdraw just enough to enjoy the night, which we did. After withdrawing, we headed to the night market area and explored different shops.
After exploring various shops and sampling local foods, my partner mentioned she was still hungry since we hadn't had dinner. We debated where to go, trying to save money, but the rain started pouring and my makeup began melting. We settled on the nearest Jollibee. We both ordered chicken; she paired hers with iced tea, while I chose Sprite. It was also such a funny moment because when I used my spoon, it bent – turns out it was worn out!
When we finished eating, we headed back to the plaza, figuring the event might have started, and we were right. The event had begun, and it was adorable with many animated mascots. I wanted to take pictures with them, but lengthy lines prevented me. However, I still managed to take a selfie. Here are some of them.
