HELLO, MY NAME IS RYN!

Good day, everyone! It is good to be here. Everything is still new to me because I am still a newbie, but I know that I will be learning a lot as the day goes by. You can call me Ryn. It is the nickname my family calls me. I am still in high school, and I am just so happy that I got introduced to Hive this early. But first and foremost, I want to tell you something about myself and my family background so that you will be able to know me a lot. I hope we will all be friends.

AN INTRODUCTION TO MYSELF

I grew up living a very simple but happy life. I grew up in the province. That is one thing I am thankful for. The province is a happy place for me because it is where I spent my whole years of existence with my family and relatives. I am so happy growing up here because I am with my cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents, who are very, very close to my heart. Also, I just want to share that I come from a family of five, including my mother and father. I am the eldest among three siblings. I have a younger sister. We have a four-year gap, and I also have a baby brother who is twelve years younger than me. Speaking of them, these are they.

I remember I was my grandparents' first grandchild. My father is their first son, and I am the first baby of our family. I remember everyone loves me so much, especially my grandmother, grandfather, aunts, and uncles. They all love me so much. Up until today, I can still feel how much they love me. So, that is one of the reasons why I love that I grew up in this place. It is because, even if we are not that rich, I have my family who loves me unconditionally. The picture below is me when I was two years old. I look like my father, and everybody is also saying the same thing to me. I am my father's copycat. My mother said to me that when I was still young, I really looked like a baby boy. That is why my mother would always dress me up in girly clothes and get me pierced so that I could wear earrings already. It is because our neighbors and other people would always say that I look exactly like a boy.

MY INTERESTS, HOBBIES, AND THINGS I LOVE TO DO

Whenever I do not have something to do, I love to play. The sports that I enjoy playing all the time are badminton and volleyball. First, let us talk about badminton. I really like playing badminton, especially when I don't have to go to school. My playmate is my younger sister. We always play every weekend when the two of us do not have classes. My father really wants us to play together, which is why he bought us rackets. I was really, really happy when he bought us one because I had been wishing to have my own racket so that I could play badminton whenever I wanted to.

Second, I love playing volleyball. My aunts are always telling me to participate in volleyball games because I am tall. One thing that I am really thankful for from my father is that I got his height. So, I started to love playing volleyball, and now I begin joining intramurals in school and also join our fiesta's volleyball league. These two sports are the things that I really love playing and also what I always do during my leisure time.

Also, when we talk about my hobbies, two of my favorite hobbies are reading books and watching movies on my phone. First is that I really love reading books, especially about fantasy and action. But I only read when I don't have something to study. Next, I also love watching movies, and my favorite ones are horror movies. I am not really afraid of watching scary movies. I feel they are so thrilling and entertaining. It doesn't make me scared when I am watching them, but sometimes I can't stop myself from thinking about the movie at night. I also love to ride and drive a motorcycle, and soon I will share something about it with you in the future. I love cooking too. When it is really boring and I do not have anything to do, I like to experiment with recipes or cook snacks.

MY REASONS WHY I ENTERED HIVE AND WHO INTRODUCED ME TO HIVE

Now, let us talk about my reasons for joining Hive. I have many, many reasons why I love to join Hive. First is that I want to learn more, especially when it comes to communicating with other people. I know my English is still not so good, and my words are still like baby English. That is why I wanted to be surrounded by people who will not embarrass me for making mistakes or errors in grammar, spelling, and more. I am also taught that this online community has many, many communities where I can read blogs according to what I like to read. I know I can improve myself in writing and communicating with other people when I continue to be active here in Hive. This will help me to meet more people online too. I know that is a good way for me to make friendships with Hive members.

I cannot say for now what exactly I can really contribute here, but one thing is for sure, I will write blogs in the future, and I will read your blogs too. I will make friends. I hope that we will enjoy and be happy reading what each of us posts here. I am going to share something about myself, my family, my friends, and happenings in my life. I am so, so happy that my aunt let me know what Hive is. She is ate @jeannmazing. She is my father's first-degree cousin. Sometimes, I see her scrolling, reading, and writing something on her phone, and it's not on Facebook or Instagram. I asked my aunt once, and then she told me what she was doing, and she taught me and showed me everything. I wanted to be one of the Hive members, so I encouraged my aunt to teach me. She told me to join an online orientation, so I joined, and then she showed me and taught me face-to-face how to use the app and the rules or the dos and don’ts in this Hive community. With my aunt's discussion and help, I learned a lot about what Hive is, and it made me become more excited. I am really happy that I know about Hive because it is something new.
