“Life in Tent City: After the Earthquake”

in Hive PH2 months ago

Hi dear Hivers! I just want to share what is happening here in Bogo after the big earthquake. Even if the earthquake already finished, the aftershocks are still happening until now. Sometimes it’s small, but sometimes it’s strong enough to make us run outside again. That’s why many people, including us, are still staying in tents.

When I walk around, I can see so many tents everywhere. Some are beside the road, and some are built in open spaces. People stay there because they are scared that the aftershocks might make their houses fall. Some houses are already broken, and others have cracks. It’s really sad to see.

Our family is also staying in a tent because our house got damaged. It’s hard to live here. During the day, it’s very hot, and at night it gets cold. When it rains, the water sometimes goes inside the tent. But even if it’s uncomfortable, we try to be thankful because we are still alive and together.

I saw other families too — mothers carrying their babies, children playing on the ground, and fathers fixing the tents. Some people are helping each other, sharing food and water. Even if life is hard right now, you can still see people smiling and trying to be strong.

Sometimes I feel sad because I miss our home. But when I look at my family and the people around me, I realize that we can start again. The earthquake destroyed many things, but not our hope.

Every night, I pray that the aftershocks will stop soon. I know many people are still scared, including me, but I try to stay positive and hope for better days. When I look around, I see families still living in tents, waiting for the time they can finally go back home. It’s not easy, but people continue to help each other and stay strong.

I hope that one day, everything will be okay. The shaking will stop, houses will be rebuilt, and life in Bogo will be normal again. Maybe not now, but soon.

Ingat kayo diyan lagi at stay safe.

Ingat ka rin palagi and thanks for the concern.
