Ever since the beginning of my journey as a student I always participate in every boyscout activities every school year, I am proud to say that I am a consistent BSP member.

I grew up witnessing numerous tents being built by my co-boyscouts, and everytime we built our own tent I always find it challenging and fun due to the methods we used when building one.

In this blog, I will share with you my unforgettable experience building my last boyscout tent ever together with my unit (chameleon Patrol) , how it was built, and how we did so fast.

Building a tent during our boyscout was indeed challenging, but why is it challenging anyway? Let's find out.

Method of building our tent

We created our tent following a certain method, we created our tent without using nails and a nailer or hammer, because using those tools will violate the rules of tent building competition, yes, you read it right, it is a competition that's why we are doing our best to create the best tent of the campus, to have the badge of the best tent.

We built our tent using vines and ropes, we used bamboo as our measuring tool and a "Y shaped" tree as the foundation of our tent, those methods of building are the reasons why it is challenging for us.

How did we build our tent so fast?

Well, a tent can be build with a single person but it will take a lot of time to finish, so with the power of teamwork we finished our tent in just at least two hours, yes you heard it right two hours, so if ever you are doing something, it's much quicker when there is teamwork.

Claiming our well deserved best boyscout tent award

It is the day of awarding and I and my patrol are nervous thinking that the best boyscout tent award won't be in our hands. During the announcement of the best tent award I and my patrol are extremely nervous, but the nervous we felt was replaced by happiness when the organizers announced that our patrol had won the title of the best BSP tent in the campus, we did it, we are officially the title holder of the best tent of the 2024 BSP Ilihan Integrated school.

All our hardwork and competitiveness had paid off and we deserve it.

This moment right here is unforgettable because we experienced winning this type of award in my last dance as a member of the BSP. The last tent that I participated building won an award and it's a pleasure to win.

Thank you so much for reading, have a nice day and God bless!

I wanted to try this stuff back then, and reading this wanted me to try even more, except I kind of became a lazy person, but if my friends were to join, I guess I could make it happen. I just don't know if girl scouts also have these activities on them.

You should have joined it, I bet you it's really fun ❤️ have a nice day @sumari09
