Our walking tour in Sagada continues, last time we visited Sagada's Echo Valley and hanging coffins, passed by one of its caves and strolled around St. Mary's luscious lawn.

Today, I'll take you to Sagada's tallest waterfall, Bomod-ok Falls. Bomod-ok Falls is often referred to as the Big Falls since it's comparatively bigger than Bokong Falls. This time, walking from our homestay all the way to the waterfalls wasn't even an option. It's far and you'll be going up and down the hills of Sagada. Well, it's not that far; you can walk but if just like us, who didn't have enough time, renting a monster jeep is the best alternative! The tourism office arranged a monster jeep to pick us up in our homestay and drove us all the way to the jump-off point. If there's one thing about this trip that I absolutely won't forget that's staying on top of the monster jeep on our way to the jump-off point. Grace was a bit hesitant to try ii, so she picked the safer place: inside the monster jeep. Sagada's view was all mine at that moment! From the jump-off point, we walk through acre after acre of rice paddies. It was a hot morning but I still felt a cold breeze in the air. I wish I could bring this kind of weather here in Sagada to Cebu!

The real walking tour for that day commenced! There's no other way for both tourists and locals to reach the waterfall aside from walking. Unless you own a helicopter that'll drop you in the middle of the waterfalls; you gotta endure the stroll. 🤣 But really when the narrow road is already cemented, there's no need to worry. It's not a major hike!

In my years of traveling, tour guides sometimes forget that the people they're guiding aren't used to walking nonstop under the heat of the sun; they walked fast and left us, tourists, catching their pace all the time. Worry not if you feel thirsty along the way, even in this far-flung destination, you can find your favorite Coke or Gatorade sold in mini convenience stores. Filipinos love sugar! 😂

You wouldn't even count how long you've been walking since all you can see is nature's finest beauty. I remember taking a lot of videos which I couldn't locate now! LOL! Hope to find them soon so I can show you more of Sagada. Back to my story, in less than 30 minutes of walking, we reach our destination, Bomod-ok Falls. It's not as massive compared to some photos I've seen from my friends who went here before, but it didn't fail to catch my attention. It's tall and lean and commanding respect.

After taking photos, Grace and I dipped in the ice-cold pool right below the waterfalls; it'll be a big mistake not to swim here. Again, it's ice-cold and by ice-cold, the moment you dip your toes, your body will tell you to retract. But don't listen, stay in the water a bit longer! :)

It looks like a very exciting journey, a great adventure

Indeed, it was @aceh.potrait! Have you been to a waterfall before?

I used to go to a waterfall but now it's very rare

Wow, what an adventure! The views were captured perfectly. The waterfall is so lovely and tempting that you will surely swim and enjoy the cold water in it.

It's tempting and we're glad to give in to the temptation @dehai! 🥰

Ganda ng lugar Pat! Yung sugar ang nagdala for me haha buti may mga pa coke at gatorade along the way, usually pag ganyang hike rare ang mga tindahan.

Relate ako dun sa tour guide jusme! Bibilis maglakad porke't petite kami noon hahaha.

Gnda..sna mapuntahn ko rin Sagada next time.. Baka andun forever ko 😂

Go @macjulez, where are you from? It's very accessible naman.

It is very nice i love so much waterfall. This place is nice to spending time. I love this.
Thanks for sharing this trip.

Looks like a beautiful place and I'm so chuffed that you went on the monster jeep, I'd love to do that. Most waterfall water is a lot colder than it looks but always refreshing so absolutely worth the dip.

Happy New Year @patsitivity

Monster jeepneys abound mostly in far-flung areas such as this one. I've tried a few rides, maybe four times already. It's always a delightful and sometimes frightful experience depending on the driver and the kind of road hehe 😁

The place was so magical indeed!
I've been to Sagada, and I already visited the hanging coffins, but the place you shared is somewhere I want to be. I hope I can visit this soon too.

Wow! The waterfalls is so great. Naiimagine ko Ang lamig malapit dyan hehehe
