Hello hivers, belated Happy New Year to everyone. Hoping all would be so fine here...
A warm greetings from my family to yours,
My short introduction
Actually before I am a former member of one of a blogging platform in social media but sad to say I will stop for I dont know what's the reason [jokingly] but for sure for a valid reason. So this is it, for a long story in a long time ago so now I'd confirm and proud to be in hive and thanks God for all it happened for a reason. So who brought me here and motivate me to be with hive platform? By the encouragement of my workmate @amayphin and inspired from the articles that I have read of @indayclara so why not? Try for it and had some fun, share some good thoughts and willing to learned from the brilliant ideas of other people within this platform.
And all about who Am I?
I am Nonato Baril Cabansag, I am forty two years old this coming August and I am married and happily living with my wife and four children. My wifes name is Roquita Arnado Cabansag, she is five years beyond younger from me. And my childrens name are; Athena Janin -15 (the eldest), Akira Jenta - 12 (the second), Amayah Jay - 11 (the third) and Exodus - 6 (the yougest). We are a close family ties and family oriented individual which all of the hardworks are all for the sake of the family.
And when conducting hang- outs which really no one left in the house. And by the times of pandemic most of my children are just stuck in the house because they will not allowed to get outside due to the strict guidelines implemented by the local government. That all minor ages was really restricted and not allowed to get outside because of their age was very prone to the virus.
Spend how important is the time to the family, take a break and have some fun with them. Because this is what life is, so just spend some memorable and quality time with the love ones because we didn't know for what life may bring and the journey of our life so just enjoys it to the fullest.
How about my work?
I'd work as a draftsman in a furniture company here in Lapu- lapu City Cebu, Philippines. I've been here for twenty years plus of service and my job are basically sketching, drawing and making some of home accessory designs. Then sometimes a quality checker of our finish product.
Yet, these are some of the sample sketches that I had rendered.
Sketch design 1:
A lovers clownfish playing under a seagrass combined with a mother of pearl seashell and a brass casted with polished resin base inspiration
Sketch design 2:
A jumping stallion combined with a natural nautilus seashell and a brass casted with polished resin base inspiration.
Sketch design 3:
The meercat families combined with a conus literatus seashell and a brass casted with polished stone base inspiration.
Sketch design 4:
A dancing fairy carrying with an ostrich eggshell and a brass casted with polished stone base inspiration.
Sketch design 5:
And a galloping goat combined with an eggshell cowrie seashell and a brass casted inspiration.
Perhaps, if I had finish my sketches I'd rather shift my other works. Like for example in lay-outing a fiber carcass in one of our product which is a galapagos turtle which inlaid with an oval limpet seashells back and a brass metal casted inspired combination. It's two eyes, face, leg, foot, tail and overall body was carefully carved inorder to comes up with a realistic look which originally work from the hands of a master craftsman. Although it is a manual and freehand work but I actually loves this kind of job.
So this is the fiber carcass of a galapagos turtle which I had lay-out. I'd used mechanical pencil in lay-outing and in hexagonal shapes. Which is I need to make first a lay-out inorder to have a guide for inlayers (the person whom the one who lay the shells of our product). Which they painstakingly and manually laid the oval limpet seashells on the lay-out and inlaying it one by one and step by step. And inorder to comes up with an elegant look which it was polished used with a burping cloth. It was a soft cloth and absorbent fabric used to makes our product shiny.
How about my hobby?
Actually I have no specific hobbies but I will do anything that goes to my head and as far as I have knowledge for it. Like this one:
In gardening...
An initiative in small things really bring a big benefits. Which I am grateful to share a backyard gardening activity in the house which I already had my harvest of these eggplant fruit, and this is now the fruit of my labor. This is really a blessing for having a successful propagation from planting of these vegetables to the harvest period of its fruit. In which it is very useful and helpful in a daily basic viand. And the health benefits that are going to get within these vegetables fruit. And besides not only that, whereas it is really fresh because I got these from my backyard garden. Very specific, it is very useful in viand purposes. And also I don't need to buy it from the market because I had already it in my backyard.
And planting...
Teach them when they are still young, almost three years after typhoon Odette hit our place which bring a huge destruction most to our ecosytem and inorder to have our contribution to its rehabilitation. As myselves and my children are conducting a drive with planting these mangrove seedlings in the lowtide seashore.
Which is my childrens inspiration was to have our sympathy towards our mother earth. Most especially these mangrove trees which really plays an important role in our ecosystem. And as this time as we visited the seashore early in the morning and we want also to share these mangrove seedlings planting. "To plant mangroves for a cause". Inorder to have a breeding shed of fish, a nesting nor a restling habitat of travelling sea birds that flucks during night time. Were even in these simple act of loving our mother nature by simply plant these mangrove seedlings and be able to make it balance the ecosystem. Which as we all know that one of the most and primary problem of our sorrounding was these air pollution and the unexplained natural phenomenon. So what would be the best solution for all of this problem?.
Maybe there are might invention that can help stop with this problem but I think this is already a lifetime problem. Because since my birth until now this is already a never ending problem of the world we are living. So then what's for our next generation? The children of our children, could they smell a fresh air that produces by these mangroves which is the oxygen. Could they climb at mangrove trees? Actually I don't think so, it is so disappointing that it would be happened for our future race which they cannot be able to experience the beauty of our mother nature. Thus as human being, which we can prevent this kind of problem by planting more trees (ex.. mangroves). Which is a very important thing for us to show our sympathy to our mother nature. It's because mangroves absorb carbon dioxide. Which is this carbon dioxide is not good and useful for our health. It's because these mangroves trees, convert carbon dioxide to oxygen. Which this oxygen is very helpful and useful to our body so that we can breath. And we need these oxygen so that we can breath and can sustain for a living.
In carving...
Everytime my children had a school project in art subject. So I am always assign to work for it, likes this merlion statue using with a laundry soap that can be found in the house. And it was a coincidence that I had also a knowledge pertaining to carving. So immediately I was assigned with my wife to work with these arts.
What I love?
Bonding with family...
Having a bond at a single hour with the love ones by roaming at the middle of a lowtide seashore and getting edible kind of sea urchin, seashells etc. And walking with my wife in a lowtide seashore inorder to get a different kinds of sea urchins and seashells for food. Which it is really fun going to the shore when it is really lowtide.
Drawing...
Arts was really one of my favourite and I can say drawing was really my passion because others had no knowledge in art and even in simple drawing which they cannot be able to initiate it.
Jogging...
Exercise, which is I'd really want to make my body always energized and makes sweat. Because exercising the body was one of the big factor through a healthy life. And then perform an exercise once daily which can really makes the body energetic and active.
Cooking...
Of course I really love cooking and discovering different food. Actually in the house I had different food experiment most likely our own Filipino food. Likes the native fish kinilaw, varriety of seashells adobo, sweetened rice cake and etc.
And eating...
And the last that I have featured is this eating and drinking of buko. This fresh, sweet and smooth drinks that came from the juice of a coconut fruit. Which is very healthy to drink because it is really pure and best to drink early in the morning before breakfast.
My conclusion
So therefore I conclude, this is all about me...! Thank you and God bless!
Best regards,
