Hey there, fellow hivers! How's it going? I hope you're doing great and feeling amazing today. For today's blog I'm gonna share with you my ojt experience last week.
Last Saturday was a very special day for me as I had the opportunity to assist in another wedding package at the boutique where I am currently undergoing my on-the-job training. The wedding package cost 75,000 pesos and included everything except for food catering. I had informed our manager of my intention to assist with the wedding and was thrilled to be a part of this joyous occasion.
The day started early for me as I woke up at 5 in the morning. Our manager had informed me that we would leave for the venue at 7 A.M. However, my colleague messaged me that we would leave at 8 A.M. which was a blessing in disguise as I had yet to leave my boarding house. While waiting for the time, I had a cup of coffee since I don't usually eat breakfast every morning, and this helped me to warm up. After that, I walked to the boutique to begin the day's work.
Upon arrival, I noticed that the staff were still arranging the flowers, and I was happy to lend a helping hand. We arranged and loaded the flowers onto the van stands. Before we left, our manager provided us with food, which was very kind of her. This ensured that we wouldn't get hungry during the trip, and then we headed to the venue.
The venue was located in Umapad, Mandaue City, at their gym. Before assisting the bride and her bridesmaids, we took our time to decorate the venue to the best of our abilities. We set up a beautiful backdrop and adorned it with flowers and curtains. After designing the backdrop, we arranged the tables and chairs, and labeled them according to where the guests would sit. We took care to ensure that everything was perfect, from the smallest details to the grandest ones, so that the guests would have an unforgettable experience.
After we had finished decorating the venue, we proceeded to the pension house where the bride and groom, along with their bridesmaids and groomsmen, as well as their parents, would stay. The pension house they rented was called Sinugboan Pension House, and it was a beautiful place. It was there that the bride and groom, along with their bridesmaids and groomsmen, had their photos taken. It was a beautiful sight to behold, and I was grateful to be a part of it.
We returned to the gym after assisting the bride because our fellow staff members were tasked with decorating the church. We could not leave the gym unattended with the belongings, so we had to return to the venue. We also had lunch, which our manager kindly provided, so we wouldn't have to spend our own money. It was a delicious meal, consisting of rice and lumpia, and it was greatly appreciated.
After lunch, we arranged the giveaways and the cake on the table. We also took care to retouch the decorations while waiting for the guests to arrive. We wanted to make sure that everything was perfect for the guests to have a memorable experience.
At four o'clock in the afternoon, the guests, including the bride and groom, had already arrived. Before starting the program, there was an intermission where the emcee danced and sang. The emcee was different from the previous wedding events we've attended, and he or she did a great job. The program started with the emcee, who hosted it professionally. The guests were engaged and entertained throughout the program.
Money dance with the bride and groom is the next, some guests lined up again at the buffet to get more food. The lechon was crispy and delicious, and their lechon was really big. It was truly a feast for the eyes and the stomach, and it was a great way to cap off a wonderful day.
The program continued until it was finished. The bride and groom then gave a message to their guests, which was very touching. The couple was extremely accommodating to their guests and even entertained the staff. Regardless of how many guests they had, everyone was able to eat and be entertained. They were a lovely couple, and the groom was very supportive of the bride. It was a beautiful and memorable experience that I will cherish forever.
On that day, I found myself swept away by an array of emotions and moments of profound significance. From the moment I arrived, I was involved in every aspect of the preparations. I helped the bride dress up, ensuring that every detail was perfect. I assisted with carefully arranging the decorations at the venue, ensuring that everything was in its rightful place.
As the day progressed, I felt an immense sense of privilege in being able to contribute to every aspect of the occasion. From assisting with the wedding ceremony to ensuring that everything ran smoothly throughout the reception, I was honored to be a part of such a special day.
Overall, playing a role on that wedding event was an unforgettable experience that left a lasting impression on me. The joy and love that filled the air was truly inspirational, and I felt grateful to have been a part of it all.
