Hello hive! It has been another month with you and this calls for a September dump!
First, we have the College Editors Guild of the Philippines - Negros Occidental, Relaunching which I also shared here at hive. Our publication was invited and I was really glad that I went to such an event, it feels so fulfilling. I gained knowledge about the injustices we have experienced in our daily life and as well as learned the history of my province.
Second was our Buwan ng Wika (Language Month) Culmination entitle “Pista sa Nayon”, I also shared it here at hive. It was just a one day event. I chose not too join any event since I already foresee that I will be busy that day covering a number of activities.
Third, we had laboratory activity! It is not actually a unique thing that happened to my month since we do it every thursday during our biology class. But I’m really glad that our school has a complete facility that could accompany the every needs of students that is a line to their chosen strand. I belong to the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics - Medical Science cluster, by the way!
Fourth was our Spirit night which I also featured here at Hive! It is just a simple program that is composed of various performances in every strand. It is like an acquaintance party. It also has an after-party in a bar but only those students who are of legal age are allowed to go. As for me, I wasn’t able to attend the after-party since I don’t drink and my parents wouldn't allow me anyway.
Fifth was when we went to church at Central Philippine Adventist College, I also was able to share this with here at hive. Anytime that there will be a mass baptism, we always go there since it has a swimming pool which is big enough to accompany a large number of people that want to be baptized.
Sixth, My grandmother, cousin, and I had our lunch at Kamalig cafe! There is another cafe here at our barangay which serves not just coffee, but meals as well! We decided to eat there since we are too lazy to cook and I wanted to treat them. It is also great that there were no customers at that time, only us, so our order was served immediately.
Seventh, it was September 21, the same day the Marcos Sr. established martial law in 1972. In line with this, the college students organized an event to commemorate such traumatizing years in our history. It was composed of talks, they also featured the people who fought for the rights of the filipino citizen during those years. I am just glad that our school is open to such event, some schools wouldn’t allow such to keep the image of their school neutral.
Eighth is also not that special. But in the last week of September, a rise in lung infection was so alarming that our school declared that those who are not feeling well should just attend the online class. Thursday last week was the only day that I attended school, so here is the breakfast which I ate during our class.
Ninth, We needed to film for our performance task and we all agreed to film in our classmate’s house. But before we began filming for the said task, we ate our lunch and attended an online class as well.
Lastly, I attended my grandma’s birthday. I didn’t take a lot of photos there. I was also kind of late since I have to answer a quiz online which I have to clutch for 30 minutes.
And that sums up my september, I am so grateful to be able to share it with you! Adios.
