The School's Fiesta Celebration is an annual event that brings together students, faculty, and staff to celebrate cultural diversity, unity, and school spirit. It's an important occasion filled with music, dance, food, and various activities showcasing the rich tapestry of traditions within the school community. From colorful performances to delicious culinary delights, the Fiesta Celebration is a time for everyone to come together, enjoy each other's company, and celebrate the unique identity of the school.
Hello my dear hivers! How are you? I hope you're all fine and great. For today's blog, I would like to share the recently concluded fiesta celebration of our school. Come and join me as we witnessed different
enjoyable activities prepared by the SSG officers and teachers.
CEREMONIAL PROCESSION
Juan Pamplona National High School in honor of Señor Sto. Niño celebrated its annual fiesta last February 8, 2024. We started the day with a mass at 8:00 in the morning followed by a ceremonial procession all over the campus. We started in the lower campus, to the middle ground, up to the Senior High School Building.
After this, the students were so busy preparing for their presentation. To make-up and costumes, and their unlimited energy for rehearsals. I can say, everyone was so competitive as they were eager to represent their respective units. By the way, the junior high school and senior high school sections were divided into four units ( Units I, II, III, IV) so everyone had someone to cheer on.
While we waited for our lunch, we seized the chance to capture a photo together. I vividly recall my first day at this school, and since then, I've been grateful for the blessings bestowed upon me by God. I appreciate the nurturing environment that has allowed me to develop both personally and professionally. I'm thankful for my colleagues, who are supportive and view me as a collaborator rather than a rival. As I mark four years of service, I extend my gratitude to Señor Sto. Niño for guiding me and showering me with blessings.
LUNCH TIME
It's already 12:00 noon and it's time to have our lunch. We had a catering service to provide food for our yearly celebration, accommodating a total of 90 people. A prayer was offered and everyone lined up to get their food. The menu included pork, shrimp, chopsuey, and chicken, accompanied by desserts such as mango float, pineapple, and gulaman. My stomach is so happy and satisfied!😊
ANDAS COMPETITION
The program officially started at 1:00 pm showcasing the ANDAS of different units. One of the criteria in choosing the Best Andas is, it must use indigenous materials as its design depicting culture and tradition. These are the ANDAS of the different units:
Whose Andas is the best for you? Let me know your bet in the comment section. 😊

RITUAL SHOWDOWN
After the ANDAS parade is the Ritual Showdown. These ritual showdowns of students showcasing their talents through dance, music, and theatrical performances. Each performances depict stories of faith, history, or local folklore while incorporating energetic choreography and colorful costumes. The ritual showdown provides students with an opportunity to celebrate cultural heritage, express creativity, and build camaraderie among the participants.
FESTIVAL QUEEN COMPETITION
One of the highlights of the program, the festival queen competition in which the crowd cheer is the loudest. It is a moment of cultural festivals, showcasing talent, beauty, and pride.
Upon seeing them, I was in awe. They were all so beautiful! 😍 Well , thanks to the very talented make-up artists. The contestants competed in various categories like their beauty & posture, traditional attire, and talents.
THE GRAND SHOWDOWN
The grand showdown of the festival queen was very exciting and highly anticipated event where contestants compete for the title. We allow them to be fashionable but we made sure that they still never forget the culture we have.
Their costumes are beautiful. You really wouldn't think it's a school competition; they're so well prepared.
