Unleash Creativity and Fun: Memorable Projects and Activities in School

in Hive PHlast year

A very good day to all of you! I'm @lovelyclaire and I'm back with another blog to share with you all. I will be posting some activities and performance tasks we have done. We work hard for these projects to be successful so I hope all of you will appreciate it.

I was thinking that it would be nice to share this experience with you guys since this time, it was an exhausting and fun moment during my school days. As a high school student, it's really hard managing school work and doing your passion at the same time.

Sometimes, due to all the pressure that school impacted me, it affected my mental health. However as time goes by, I have learned to cope with the stress and to manage my time very well.

I now learn how to balance my time wisely with the things I love. Presently, activities and performance tasks don't stress me out easily. I have learned how to deal with these things very well.

Activities and school tasks are very exhausting for some students but worth doing when you see the result. So today, I will be sharing with you some of the successful activities we have done together with my classmates for the past months.

Table Skirting

This project was assigned to us for the TLE subject. It means Technology and Livelihood Education that's why our subject teacher tasked us with this activity to improve and enhance our skills in terms of being creative and also to use this as an advantage for livelihood, bringing this learning and potential for another year to come.

Aside from this, it also builds up our teamwork together with my co-members. The table skirting activity was judged based on its creativity, standards, and overall look of the design.

This project was not only assigned for table skirting but also for organizing a buffet-style service. What my group planned was that we would have to serve desserts instead of dishes because it takes more time to cook than desserts and also it is more pricey for a buffet-style service.

We decided that our theme would be native style. So we serve many kinds of traditional Filipino desserts like budbod moron, biko, puto cheese, and sikwate. It is a good choice of food since we only have the right amount of budget and we don't want to pay an expensive price for the desserts.

In preparation for the decorations as well, some of my members helped in making native-style decorative ornamentals, showing their creativity in making the buffet suited to our planned theme. We used banana leaves and fake plants for the decoration.

Thankfully, the outcome of this project was successful. Our teamwork works especially in an activity like this. Overall, our teacher praised us for this attitude in helping one another to make this task successful. She gave us a perfect score for this activity!

Creating a Volcano

The second project that I will be sharing was when we created a volcano from scratch and recycled materials. We used paper mache to build this volcano instead of clay so we couldn't pay for a pricey amount since it would take a lot of clay to make a volcano that's why we decided to create it from scratch materials.

While making this project I was proud of my classmates because I can see that they put an effort to help in making the volcano. Thankfully they are not the same as other groups who have members who are free drivers and irresponsible.

I would have to say that all the effort we did into making this project paid off since the total result of the volcano we created takes almost 1 hour to make, in order for it to be more realistic.

We even decorated it with many ornamental pants. Before the volcano project was created we prepared materials like plastic bottles, styrofoam, scratch papers, illustration board, and many more things that we have brought in making this activity.

Worth the effort for this project. It looks very realistic! We even painted lavas that looked like overflowing from the volcano. Decorated it with some pebbles as well to make it more like it is located on a rocky surface.

After the paint had dried in the volcano we decided to place it temporarily at our classmate's house since their place was near our school. The next day, it will be the time to make our volcano erupt using baking soda and the substance from the vinegar that makes a mini explosion.

This is what it looks like during the eruption. This activity was an experimental project for us to gain knowledge about how different volcanoes erupt in terms of their types of explosion.

Cha-cha Dance
Last but not the least, a dancing activity for our M.A.P.E.H subject. Our teacher said that we needed to create a choreo based on the dance sport we were assigned. In my case, I was part of the cha-cha dance. I was glad that I was not in the tango dance sport since I am not familiar with it personally.

On the other hand, compared to cha-cha, it has been always popular here, especially with my grandfather and grandmother. During parties, sometimes I've always seen them dance cha-cha every time. That's why I am happy that cha-cha is what we will be dancing to since I want to try it as well.

During practice, I've observed that this dance is more easy and has more simple steps compared to other dance sports out there. It is easy to catch up with our choreographer since she is good at it too. I was amazed by how she danced together with her partner. I also want to dance like that- that's what I've said upon watching them.

During the final day, we performed our dance. I was very nervous back then since there were a lot of students watching us from another section. I didn't want my nervousness to show off my face so I smiled and raised my head while dancing.

I was so proud of myself because I am not that good at dancing but I conquered it all by being confident. After all, our performance was done and we could finally relax completely. It was worth trying. Now, I have learned a few steps of cha-cha dance and we got a higher grade as well.

Good job to us! All the hard work paid off in everything they had tasked us with because they wanted us, students, to be a better version of ourselves.

Our teachers made us do these things because it is their obligation for us to gain knowledge. Through all of those things. It gives me wonderful memories with my classmates that I could bring on when I get older.

I have learned the hardships, sacrifices, and perseverance in exerting efforts just to make all these activities possible. In the end, all of these things that I've learned from my school are wonderful memories that I would forever treasure.

That's all for today! Thank you everyone for giving the time to read my blog I really appreciate you all. See you next time!
