May 2021 Artworks in ArtPark DTIYS Challenge feat. Yaxie Lotte Fanart

Heya guys! Glad to be back but I'm not sure when I will be posting again. I think I promised in my last post that I will continue to share what I had been doing last year. I bring you, artworks I made last May 2021.

First week of the DTIYS Challenge was this character from Black Clover named Yami Sukehiro, I have watched only 2 episodes of the show and I didn't make it to one where he is there so I am not really familiar with him but I did some research and got to know that he is a captain of the Black Bull and he smokes and I just went with that for the fanart. I also saw some clips of his badass battles with the enemies and how good he treats his team. He also has this secret admirer Charlotte where she almost confess to Yami but it was all a misunderstanding. All in all I think Yami is a great character, I will probably watch Black Clover in the future.

Second week started with Jujutsu Kaisen's Nanami Kento, my first thought about this character is that he resembles the Chef Chapelle from Shokugeki no Souma, the one that never smiles. He also has this aura like Nighteye from My Hero Academia, the bad ass cool teacher vibes. This is also one of the shows that I haven't watched yet but is in my bucket list. The pose here is based from me holding on my eyeglass and looking at the camera, I thought it would look cool to see him doing that. I also got some info from a friend in noise that he is someone that is greedy and likes money, I haven't confirmed it yet because I didn't have time to research him.

Yaxie Lotte, a Vtuber who lives in Manila Bay, Philippines, I'm sure most of us have heard and seen her in Facebook, I enjoy watching her streams, it is really fun and enjoyable to watch. I had joined her FB group and it had this fanart contest so I decided to join in. I only made a simple Yaxie doing my signature double peace sign while wearing a My Hero Academia Uniform, if she would have a quirk I think she will have the abilities a Axolotl can do plus being able to communicate with them. The other entries were incredible and I'm just glad I joined in, I did manage to draw her and that's a win for me. I know this isn't part of the DTIYS Challenge but I want to feature her too cause' she is also part of my May artworks.

Third week of DTIYS Challenge is One Piece's Boa Hancock, I had watched this show before but only the First Season, it was a good show and I never got the chance to continue it again until we had internet. Boa is an interesting character, she fell in love with Luffy which is clueless when it comes to love, I do hope Luffy notices her feelings. The pose for her as usual is my favorite double peace sign while smiling cause I like showing the hands of the characters now unlike before where I would casually hide it. Also, I got less time when I drew this before that's why I went with the fastest way to draw a character which is the latter. My brother also said that this fanart doesn't look like my usual art style, I am not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing but all I know is it is proof that I am improving.

Finally, the fourth week came, I always wanted to draw Nezuko but didn't really have the reason to until now. I had been drawing fanarts of characters I am not familiar with and now I got the chance to make something that will be enjoyable and I went all out on this. I made this fanart using the Krita Application and I know I always say this but my main drawing application is Adobe Photoshop, I challenged myself to make this using a different platform and I got what I wanted I was in a bind using it. The controls were different and I got one day to finish this one. I had watched some tutorials on using it and it was helpful.

I don't have any experience doing animations so I tried learning it and didn't expect to finish it in one day also this was on birthday, I wanted to do something special. The animation isn't smooth as I imagined but it is a step closer to being an animator.

On the final week of the DTIYS Challenge was Hisoka, in my opinion he is a really suspicious character in Hunter X Hunter, I didn't like his personality in the show cause he is like this villain that pretends to be good in order to get close to Gon. I like trying new drawing applications, this time I used Clip Studio Paint. The commands isn't that hard, it is similar to Adobe Photoshop so I didn't had a difficult time, just some more time to get used to it and it will be a good application other than Adobe Photoshop. It also has this timelapse feature so don't have to use another application that consumes a lot of space. The pose here is just a simple one and I went for Hisoka just holding cards and looking innocent.

So here we are again, I know it's been a long time since I last posted 5 months to be exact, I was busy again like my usual excuse, I did manage to draw a lot this year 2022 and I will probably post that anytime soon. I was still hanging around on noise.cash and I thought maybe I should go again and finish posting my May Artworks on Hive.
