Looserwin's 2021 Art Summary

Heya guys! It's been so long since I last posted here on Hive. I'm gonna share with you guys what I was up to last 2021 with my art journey. I didn't really stop drawing last year, I just stopped posting in Hive in mid February. Here is the summary of my favorite work for each month in the year 2021.

This fanart of Jinx was my first artwork done in 2021, I suddenly got the urge to draw her after making the Suzzysaur fanart, I thought to myself that I should make something that would be of the same level and then Jinx popped out of my head. I saw some improvement on the way I color her and that made me proud of this work. There's also an ahegao version if you check out the first post. I always love making fanarts of Jinx so expect more of her fanart in the upcoming posts, you guys will get Jinxed. I also wanted the year 2021 to be a productive one where I will make one art per month to practice on and have a consistent phase so when I look back to it I will get this feeling of completeness but sadly it didn't go according to plan.

The Qiqi fanart here is something that I have been thinking for a long time now. I regret not finishing her back in March 2021. I had all the time before and I didn't even bother to make some progress with her. I think I was doing other things before and completely forgot to make her and as always I crammed all day to finish her on the 31th day of March but sadly I didn't made it so we are seeing her incomplete form right now. I will dedicate some time in the future to complete her along with my other WIPs. I will probably do some more fanart of Genshin in the future too, I want to showcase my favorite characters there, well Qiqi is one of them so I'm gonna make another fanart of her after I finish this one.

Nezuko Kamado, the cute loli waifu we all love, she was also part of the DTIYS Challenge, I haven't really finished watching Demon Slayer but I did saw some clips of the show and got me hooked up on it. There were other entries for the challenge but still I decided to choose her since she is my favorite one among the rest. I also did something here which will be discussed on the other post I will make. Oh and the application I used here isn't Adobe Photoshop but Krita, not sure if that gave it away, I still want it to be a surprise. I also wanted to try different applications in case I can't use Photoshop and to see if the other application can provide an even better workspace and better quality. Also I forgot to mention that I finished this fanart on my birthday.

Levi Ackerman, the really cool and strong character on Attack on Titan, someone you don't want to mess with. He isn't my favorite character in the show but I did admire his amazing skills he did with the Female Titan and the Beast Titan. Making this fanart was not as hard as the other if I would say so myself that's because I crammed the time to finish this. The design for him isn't really complicated and that's the good part about it. Maybe adding some more details on his face will make it look cooler, sadly I can't accomplish that yet but maybe in the future. I was going to make the scene where he is spinning around to attack but as I said I was all out of time and I had to go with the normal looking pose to catch up on the challenge.

Remember when the trend for the toonme Challenge was still a thing. It was decided on the ArtPark Community that we will make it too since it was to get people to join in the trend. I had made one before but that was 2 years ago and making a new one would be good to me, to update the looks. I know some of you know what I really look like. I don't really like to show my face much that is why I hide under my Persona as Looserwin. It was way back in 2018 where I first got the very prototype of me. It's not as good as the one you are seeing today, I'm gonna make a post about it in the future also for me to look back at the past and see the improvement I had gained after pursuing this hobby of mine.

In this month I was feeling down and can't draw, I was overthinking, can't focus, I would lie in bed and watch videos all day until I have posted on a group about this and they advised me a lot of things which had helped me calm down a bit. Then one person said that I should go back to drawing and requested me to draw his friend and so I did, for me to get out of my artblock and he loved the result. At this point I didn't think that I will draw again because all I wanted to do was for me to clear my mind out and just relax but it seems that the one thing that gives me a piece of mind was also drawing and after doing this one drawing I continued drawing the next month for this personal project of mine that will still be a secret until I finish it.

The month where I was working on a personal project which was never finished on time so I had to drop it. I thought that three weeks was enough for it. I can't really say anything more about the project but it will be continued this year since I have more time to work on it. Also we were also busy doing the repairs on our roof at the time, and there wasn't any choice and I had to help. This was also the time where it always rain and electricity keeps on going out, perfect timing right? I was invited by LikhaMoPH to have one of my art to be featured on the magazine their were working on. My sister also got invited. I had limited time before so you could say that I also crammed for this one. I had to make an adjustment to Jinx here for the magazine. I totally forgot to draw for this month's entry because I focused all my time on my personal project. I thought to myself that I did good this month, you don't have to feel bad, I just need to make a comeback on the next month and be more productive there.

October was supposed to be an Inktober Challenge but my sister said that we should do something different and she suggested to join in the VnkTober where we will draw a lot Vtubers from Philippines according to a prompt. I was hesitant at first but after seeing the list I had to join in. There were a total of four entries I made and this was the third and my favorite one Teru, a PH Vtuber that is really good at playing Valorant, she also sounds adorable and she makes amazing artworks too. I also encountered my PC breaking down and I couldn't continue the rest of the challenge so I decided to only do four and stop there. It was a productive month but I had some difficulties making time for art here, still it was okay since I was able to make a lot of drawings here.

After being inactive in the ArtPark DTIYS Challenge I decided to join in again and the reference was Rengoku Kyoujuurou. I don't really know much about him, all I know is that he is a strong samurai that battles alongside Tanjirou and Nezuko. I was running out of time and I wanted to do a quick art if possible. I came up with doing a really fast and lazy approach, doing an up close shot of the character to save up time and also to highlight a part of him. You could say that I got the idea from the can you guess this character without looking at the whole picture. I was going to continue doing this for the whole month but the next challenge was to draw yourself in an anime show that you like sorta like an Isekai Anime where you are in the actual anime, I'm gonna post it here some time around.

This is Belle, my daughter ahem I mean my OC, she was made by referencing BitCoin and because I really wanted a child OC. The first design of her wasn't as accurate as this. She was a little big in her initial design. It's great that I was able to adjust her to the perfect form I wanted. She was for this Crypt-OC-tober challenge in ArtPark where we are going to make an OC out of any token we want and I decided to go for this one since I had made a bitcoin drawing before. Maybe I will include her in the upcoming comics and illustrations this year so be on the look out for my daughter. I haven't made any new comics and I was just focusing on my illustrations this year 2021.
