There was a lot of excitement and anticipation in the air at Doña Liling Neis Negapatan National High School as the community came together to start this year's Brigada Eskwela. The event, which had the theme "Bayanihan para sa Matatag na Paaralan," emphasized the shared responsibility and collaborative spirit that characterizes the activity.
The Parade
We started the day with a parade to give the celebration a festive vibe. At the school, participants assembled, prepared to set off on a trek that would take them through the center of the neighborhood. In the parade were teachers, learners, parents, and other interested parties, such as PTA officers, Mucipality of Tabogon Police Officers, Tapul Barangay Officials, and members of the Bureau of Fire Protection.
The streets came alive with color and enthusiasm as the parade made its way from the school grounds to the busy public market and back to the school gym. It was evident how excited everyone in the neighborhood was, and it created a lively and joyous mood. This march served as more than simply a physical demonstration of support for the school's improvement and unity.
The Ceremony: A Convocation with a Goal
When the parade reassembled in the school gym, they were greeted by a redesigned area just for them. At the ceremony that followed, everyone took a moment to reflect and acknowledge the teamwork that went into making Brigada Eskwela a success.
Speeches from prominent individuals, such as school administrators specifically the newly-installed principal of our school- Mrs. Rica M. Roble, community leaders, emphasized the shared responsibility each participant bears in ensuring the success of the school's maintenance and enhancement. The program was brief but impactful, emphasizing the significance of the theme "Bayanihan para sa Matatag na Paaralan."
One of Unity's High Points: Signing the Tarpaulin
The ceremony's signing of the Brigada Eskwela tarpaulin was one of the most memorable parts. More than just a formality, the act of signing everyone's names on the tarpaulin served as a concrete symbol of the shared commitment and solidarity among all parties. Every signature served as a promise to advance the school's advancement and as a representation of the teamwork that embodies Brigada Eskwela.
Cleanup and Organizing as a Community Initiative
The practical side of the day's events took center stage once the ceremony was over. The crucial chore of cleaning and organizing got underway as parents and students relocated to their designated places. Brigada Eskwela's practical work was essential in transforming the cooperative spirit into changes that could be seen in the physical school environment.
Each person had a sense of purpose and collaborated with brooms, mops, and other cleaning tools. Once disorganized areas and forgotten nooks started to sparkle with newly discovered order and cleanliness. The community's commitment to improving the learning environment for the pupils was demonstrated by this.
