Ramblings about discovering new and rediscovering old music and the HivePH Bayanihan Up Day Initiative

It's a raining in Manila day. I was hoping for the sun to shine like it's a summer morning out on the beach but I know that the weather easily changes this time of the year so I'm still going to be ready with my umbrella 🌂 if nature shifts it's mood and decides to pour down on unsuspecting humans.

I was listening to some music on YouTube and DJ Ashba popped into my feeds--->here. I was a Guns N' Roses fan back in the day so it was fun listening to some riffs and runs featuring these classic hard rock songs. Axl Rose got older but still got the chops; like a true rock star. The lead guitar seemed cleaner, softer with Ashba and his high level of guitar playing. It was a trip back down memory lane. 🎩🎩🎩 Music has that quality that transports us back to a time when we began to like or listen to a song, but I think it's the people we enjoy the music with that truly makes it memorable.

Got to listen to some JK and Moira with their "Medyo Ako" Live Performance--->here. It felt raw. It was emotional. And, it had a good MV, which should help propel this to the top of the charts. Their voices complemented each other, the choir/back up singers did well in supporting the duet as they did not overpower, and the song had a strong ending finishing quite nicely. It was a short song but the MV was 12:37 minutes long with some footage shown after the MV had been shot. You might want to skip this part if you're not into this kind of stuff.

Sining by Dionela was the third song that really stands out these days. The live version at The Cozy Cove really brought out a performance level that one would expect in a concert on a big stage---> here. I thought Jay R brought out what makes him Jay R; control, artistry and bluesy vibes. The musicians sounded great, like they've been doing this at a high level for a long time. It's a really good song to listen to while driving in the early morning going to some obscure location to meet up with friends for a chit-chat, and enjoying nice, strong coffee.

So, I've increased my @hivephilippines delegation to 621 HP, up from 601 HP to complete my Bayanihan Day Up participation for this month. Supporting our community is good for all of us because it helps increase the upvote value, which we use to support the HivePH Community.

It has been a while since I've uploaded something so I'm hoping that this gets me going and get back on a rhythm. And, that's it for today. It's almost the end of the month and we are fast approaching the end of the year. Hoping everyone is doing well and closer to reaching your Hive goals.
