As A Barista Who Brews Good Coffee, We're On Duty.

Great day to all of you. It's nice to see the sun again as it shines and giving warmth to life.
Sadly yesterday was not but still a great one.

I wish you had your coffee shot for this day. I had it already early this morning.

We just survived another trial in our life as we experienced the devastating effect of the nature's roar.

Some establishments here in our town were closed already at that time but when it comes to us, we opened.

I prepared myself early as 6:30 am in the morning yesterday now that the weather is slightly good, we're obliged to attend to our duty and here's the view as I travelled going to work.

As you can see those gigantic mountains in our area were hugged by the clouds. This is what I see every morning and especially when it's raining.

My father was very careful driving our tricycle because accidents usually happens during rainy season and during bad weather such as typhoon.

Basketball courts such as this in our area were still clear from kids playing and enjoying the day.

I arrived at the shop five minutes before the opening hour. My coworker had the key so I had to wait for her and she arrived just before I arrived.

And that's my workmate.

We divided the responsibilities when it comes to the shop especially in morning preparations.

She's the one responsible at the dining area as you can see in the photo and she just smiled there as I took one.

As for me, I'm the one responsible at the kitchen setting up all the equipments we needed for the rest of the day such as those Espresso machine.
My part is a crucial one because I need to ensure that all things are in good condition for the endless operations later on.

I cleaned the whole area where our things will reside to ensure there's no contamination will happen.

Setting all up what's needed for the day is just the basics when you work in a cafe like this. It can be hassle at first but not anymore when you're already accustomed to the routine.

And there you have it.

The next thing I did was to clean and prepare this small cabinet where our pastries will be place.
We have to clean it thoroughly because we're now displaying everything for the customers to see the whole thing and it's more effective than before.

After that I cleaned these glass with clean towel to ensure that there are no stains over there.
We're wondering how those stains got there especially when I see them but we understood it after witnessing those playful customers.

As we continue to clean the whole cafe, our part timer arrived just in time as our supplies arrived also at the shop.

Thanks to that I had companion to carry all those boxes.

We finished carrying all those things into the shop and we unloaded them then arrange them into our stock cabinet.

What we did first is to remove all the supplies that's been there then put first the new one. Why's that? We follow the rule FIFO, First In First Out. As the rule said, what you in first will be use first.

And we finished stocking up all the supplies successfully without a problem.

That's just one of the routine we are doing here at the shop everyday and every time we stock up supplies.

Atlast we went home, but 30 minutes after the closing time already. Why? Because there are customers who dined in at the last hour.
Well that's still good for the shop but they don't have sense of what time is it already. FOR REAL.

We got home by 10 pm really tired. I changed my clothes and my pets were waiting for me.
Especially this one, he really likes to do that especially when I'm at the hammock.

Being with them took away all the tiredness I had last night. I'm lucky to have them as my friend. I talked to them and vent out what happened to the shop haha and they just hug me like that.
