Yesterday, November 13, I had my very first attendance in the Onboarding webinar of the Hive Ph. It was already their second Onboarding which @romeskie announced through her post 7 days ago.
Being one of the neophytes in Hive as I consider myself, I felt it's one of those I should take part in.
It was just 20 days ago when I made my introduction post as my very first post for Hive.
The webinar was hosted by the Hive veterans from Manila, @romeskie, and @tpkidkai, and was open for everyone from the Philippines.
The agenda included the earning through content creation, and more ways of earning through Hive.
For the content creation, the posting in appropriate communities and the use of proper tags were emphasized. Also, the use of markdowns was highly recommended to make one's post more composed, organized, and pleasing for the readers. More importantly, the content should be your original, which means there should be no spamming and plagiarizing.
Here's the link to @ybanezkim26's post on markdowns and formatting techniques that he shared during the webinar.
@tpkidkai also discussed about the percentage there in the payout, 50% to the curators, and the other 50%, divided equally between the Hive power and HBD to the author.
Aside from the content creation, the curation on others' post, delegation of hive powers, and trading as other means of earning through Hive were also discussed.
Still, @tpkidkai talked about the first two while it was @juanvegetarian about the trading. He shared how does he do with his trading, and he actually showed how did he trade his Hive for Pizza. It was really my first time hearing Pizza as a token for trading. I was amazed as it really sounds so cool, and even more, as somebody from the group said that there's even Beer and Wine.
After the important matters were discussed, there was an open forum where most of the questions were about the last one discussed, trading. Raffles then followed that Q and A which concluded the webinar.
With all the things I've heard about Hive from yesterday's webinar, I felt like I still have so much to keep up with. Truly, content creation is just one of the opportunities one can enjoy with Hive. There's Pizza, Beer, Wine, NFT, Splinterlands, Hive engine, and more of them which are new to me that they'd mentioned in the session. Interesting!
Well I guess that's all for my first onboarding experience. I would still attend in the next one, next week, bringing in my friends.
'Til then!
Thanks for posting about this @jenesa. Sorry if I confused you a little bit about the Hive Engine tokens. Will have a better presentation next time. :)
