A Twist on Just a Typical Friday!

Hello, dearest Hivers! How's it going? I hope you're all doing well and staying safe. For now, let me just share something — a sequel to my previous blog, Just a Typical Friday. If you haven't read it yet, you can check it out. Anyway, that one fine Friday was absolutely just a typical day. We followed the same exact routines and went to church with my cousin. That’s supposedly how my Friday would have ended, but later that day, we made a spontaneous plan to go out, since the place where we’re currently living is about to celebrate its fiesta. Given that, there were games in the park, rides, and food.
It was an on-the-spot decision, and I already have my lazy feet on, feeling too tired to go out. Then I realized it's just been happening for some time, especially since we were already working and the others were studying. Additionally, my cousin has been constantly inviting me to go for a walk that day because she got tired of lying in bed and being on her phone all day. So, here we are on our way to the place. It's just walking distance from the house, so we didn't have to take a ride. After all, there are five of us, so it's much more fun to walk. We got to the place. For Filipinos, we call this a Peryahan. It's like an amusement park or a funfair. There are a lot of games, including Bingo, projectile games, drop ball, color game, and many more. There are also rides like the Ferris wheel, carousel, and more, but I'm sorry I failed to take pictures of all those because we were really having a great time, and it just slipped my mind. Honestly, I just brought 19 pesos in coins in my pocket, and we all played drop ball. As usual, I couldn’t win even one peso, hahaha. I was just enjoying watching my other cousin win, turning her 5 pesos into 100 pesos, which means she turned her 15 pesos into 300 pesos. That’s a lot of luck, you know, because we played drop ball, where there are 25 numbers, and you have to guess which number the ball will fall into. Even if you don’t play, you’ll still have fun watching.

After that, we exited the park because we couldn't stay out late since we had work to do the next day. But before going home, we first went to the convenience store.

They ate some ice while I didn’t because the dry cough I’ve had for weeks shows no signs of going away. I hate it so much. I've always been resisting eating or drinking sweets and cold stuff because I’d just be wasting my medicine. Anyway, after that, we went on our way back. We were supposed to go straight back home, but there were a lot of street food that caught our eyes. One of my cousins bought five sweet corns for us. It was 20 pesos per cup, with some cheese on it. It's been a long time since I ate this though. After that, we all then headed back home, eating our sweet corn along the way.

What a wonderful Friday night it was! It might have been just a simple get-together with my cousins, but everything felt so happy and fulfilling. I better not say that it was just a typical Friday, because it was extended with so much fun. 'Til next time, everyone! Thanks for reading. Ciao!
