Happy December 25th, my dear Hivers! This whole month of December is all about food and celebration not just because of Christmas but also because my brother recently topped the Civil Engineering licensure exam. With great pride and joy, my parents are in for countless thanksgiving dinner.
A day after the board exam result came out, my family and I celebrated the favorable result at Yakimix Restaurant, located at SM Seaside, Cebu City.
As mentioned in my previous blogs, buffets have always been our go-to for celebrations. The feeling of "eating-all-you-can" excites us. Although I know that buffets these days are generally more expensive than those made-to-order restaurants.
As someone who loves sushi very much, I enjoyed their variety of sushi. I made sure to try every flavor in the counter and as a compensation, i skipped the rice section.
They also have fresh meat and seafoods for diners to grill.
For drinks, I opted for their brewed coffee since it was brunch time. They also have lemonades, ice teas, and other juices available.
We arrived at the restaurant around 11 AM, just in time for their opening hours. Naturally, there are only a few diners at this hour so we consider ourselves the first customer in Yakimix that day.
This is what my plate looked like in the "first round", i got more foods after this haha. I also added some fermented kimchi for better digestion since i know i will be eating a lot.
My siblings and i have this habit of hoarding the Ebi tempura shrimp every time we dine in Yakimix since the platter is almost always empty. One of us will get a plate full of tempura shrimp to be shared with all of us.
Lastly, the highlight of their dessert is the mix-and-match halo halo. They have all the ingredients placed in a separate bowl and you just have to customize your order.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Happy holiday, everyone!
Sending some love and light
With love, Jane
I really miss dining here with my friends. There foods are literally good and delicious, and the ambiance of the place makes it even more perfect.
