A Serene Discovery

The scene was serene, with the quietness of the store adding to the relaxed atmosphere. It was the kind of moment where you could leisurely take your time to look around without the usual rush or noise of crowded aisles.

This peaceful environment set the tone for my unexpected discovery of the parol, which added a sense of excitement and joy to my otherwise routine errand.

The Beautiful Parols

While walking near the counter, something caught my attention—these large and stunning parols! They were so big and vibrant that they immediately drew my gaze because of their colorful designs.

Speaking of parols, these are traditional Filipino Christmas lanterns often made of bamboo or paper, decorated with colorful lights.

One particular parol I saw had a rainbow-colored outer ring and a white star shape in the center. What truly amazed me was the small scene inside the star, which lightly depicted the Nativity.

Recycled Artistry

In another part of Metro, right after descending the stairs, I was greeted by another parol. This one was as large as the first one, but what made it special was that it was made from recycled materials. At some point, I wondered, "Where did the maker find such materials? These are becoming rare nowadays." This parol was crafted from CDs and plastic bottles, beautifully decorated with lights and other festive ornaments.

A Piñata-Inspired Design

Here is the third parol I took a picture of. It has a design similar to a piñata, if you're familiar with that. This one was made of plastic and shaped like a star.

Public Display Parol

The fourth parol was similar to the first one, with a rainbow-colored design. It was also adorned with small lights and had colorful tassels hanging down. This type of parol is likely meant for display in public places.
