Showcase of Passion and Purpose: Our Demo Teaching Experience

This day are the day that we're waiting for, to make our video demo teaching. On my latest blog I've share about the how we make our IM'S or our instructional materials for our demo teaching and now this is it. Although we got failed at first due to the misunderstanding in reading the instructions but atleast this time we made it.

This was the day where me and my group mates presenting our demo through video. Our instructor told us that it should be presenting in face to face, but since the dean didn't allow them to have a face to face classes yet, so we will present it through video. At this point, I already arrived to the place where we meet up but ended up they already go to venue and didn't wait me, will actually I'm not the only one their been waiting, there's still 3. I called them asking where is the exact location or venue cause I think I'm lost. But luckily John paul arrived at the time. He brought his motorcycle and I'm at the back, I still didn't hang up the call due to were both didn't know where they are.

It's already 9:00 in the morning and finally we arrived to Jenny's house. We decide to have our video here since the place are not the really noisy.

Some of them are still preparing the IM's, and I decide to help them to make ut fast. I make some hat using bond paper and the top of it I paste thinkerbell to make it cute. It's a demo so we should make it more creative. Some are preparing the food for lunch, and some of them already memorizing or practicing their script on what tone they should use later since we will be teaching a grade 4 students.

At 12:15 all those unfinished materials are done, and the food they prepare are also brought to the table. As usual they cooked some noodles, dried fish and corn beef, we also buy some nesty for our drinks. We pray first before eating and since I brought my rice I just get some corn beef and those dried fish. The dried fish was so perfect for the vinegar. Food tastes better when shared in one table.

After eating, we individually dressed our uniform. We didn't start at 1:00 for some reason. We start at 2:00 and all those assigned task were going in a nice flow. Even though some of us during their part, they laugh, spoke some bisaya words, forgot the line, got nervous, but we didn't let those negative win on us. We as a member, we help them motivate that we can make it, we should just fucos and quite or mind and it it works.

Time goes by and our video was done. And the last process is to edit it. It was so obvious to our face the relief that despite the pressure, stress of what we do next, at this time it's already done. This was our last project in this semester or demo teaching.

We carry all the materials we use and bring it back at home.

I didn't expect that we will make it late and I got worried a little bit cause I didn't bring my motorcycle due to its still on repairing, and my uncle didn't reply my chat yet. It's already 6:00 pm when we decided to commute since there was still a bus, but someone told us that the bus was full due to its Monday and some of the passengers are going back to the city. We don't have a choice but to walk and wait for the bus to come to clarify it. And it's true, I'm about to cry this time but Maila told me that as long as were together we can came home safe. Although we finish our demo perfectly but look what happened to us. Luckily there was a car stop and ask us where are we going, we didn't hesitate to tell them the location and they agreed to have a ride. We didn't doubt them because Maila knew the driver. It's a big relief for me. And after that we came home safen with a big smile on it cause we can finally sleep with nothing bothers our mind.
