Hollaaaah, Hivers! Good day! 🫶🏻
Sharing again my new blog, our year-end party last December 2023.
I’m really thankful to be part of this company because every year we’re celebrating a year-end party, also called a Christmas party.
Our year-end party was held at the Bayfront Hotel in Cebu City, Philippines. It was something new to me because we’re going to wear a Filipiña attire.
Filipiniana serves as a glorious symbol of our unique identity and culture. While it adapts to the changing times, it stays rooted in its Filipino values of modesty, practicality, and resilience. It embodies values, customs, and traditions of the Filipino people. By wearing a Filipiniana dress, women can definitely showcase their culture and heritage with confidence and elegance. The clothing's essence has been passed down through generations and still remains the flagship of traditional Filipino clothing.
I just rented this gown for only PHP 1500, and we hired a make-up artist; each one of us paid PHP 1,000 for make-up. We’re seven of the group, and we actually got our room for PHP 1,500. So expensive, right? Haha we spent almost PHP 5,000 only for a night. But it’s really worth it because we will meet our colleagues on a fabulous night. And finally, we’ll meet our bosses personally, because we just talk virtually during meetings in the office.
So, I am happy to be part of this team. Sourcing team. They’re easy to work with, they helped me grow, especially when I was a newbie, and they really had a big impact on my career. I’ve been with the company for two years now.
So, after the program, we had the raffle with a lot of prizes, like a coffee maker, an electric fan, a microwave, and travel vouchers, sponsored by our bosses, but unfortunately, I didn’t win the raffle even once. 🥹 haha But I had so much fun that night. 🤍
Then, after we got some drinks, we danced. We shared some stories of our personal lives. We had so much fun.
Luckily, I got a selfie photo with our boss on my right side, wearing glasses. She’s super duper nice! 🫶🏻
I want to also share this photo. This is Gwen, our newbie on the team; she’s nice, easy to work with, and she’s single haha if you guys are interested, just comment down below. Haha Just kidding. Haha
We planned the after party, haha but sadly, we already have duty the next day, so we decided to get back to our room to get some rest and (chika) stories about the party haha
That’s it for this blog. Thank you so much for taking time to read. I really appreciate it. And also, thank you, Hive, for having me again here.
