in Hive PHlast year

Good day everyone. Join me today as I bring you to a different kind of activity.

Have you ever seen a display of boxes like this? Do you ask what are these boxes? Yes, it is a sound box or what we call mobile sounds. It is composed of tiny boxes with speakers inside that can produce sounds and can be installed in our mobiles or vehicles. This kind of display is called "battle of the sounds". It is a competition between these sound systems - best of the best.

Story Time

Filipinos are known to be music lovers. We hear different types of music everywhere. We have lots of famous musicians in our country. We can hear music from different sound boxes, videoke bars, and even on our phones through headsets.

The most common means of sound production is by the use of sound systems whether big or small boxes. This was used during disco parties. Every barangay that celebrates its annual fiesta uses sound mobiles to entertain people, especially the younger generation. It is part of the tradition of Filipino people to enjoy, and have a dance party all night using loud music.

When the pandemic arose, the sound industry in the Philippines suddenly fell. No activities means no bookings and no income. The sounds owner became broken and could not sustain the maintenance and expenses. They still pay the people who operate the system. Later, they gave up the business thinking that this situation (the pandemic) would stay for life and we would never gain a normal life again.

Back to Reality

Thank God that after almost 2 years under the quarantine period and I would say through the effort of our Provincial Governor, we made it to what we say "back to normal" situation.

After THAT announcement, the sound industry was alive again. Different shows and battles have been created to test the solidity and power of their sounds. It was also their way to celebrate and prove that they stand strong despite the pandemic.

The Participants

This battle was called "LINAGUBO SA LAMAC CAMPO" wherein eight mini sounds will compete with each other and showcase their power.

Sound addicts carefully listen to the sound quality of each sound system. They also watch how the operators control the system. They went around and studied the techniques on how to perform using this type of sound system. These are mini sounds but produce a giant sound.

The Winners

Best Sound Quality - Hortel Pro Audio

Bottle Knock Down - JTS Disco Mobile

Mic Quality - Anika Sound Mobile

As the program ended, the audience applauded and brought home smiles. I think they now wanted to build their own sound system.

My friends and I had our own mobile disco system for rent business when I was still in high school. Back then, it was more important to party than the money we earned. However, it still gave us a decent amount of extra money for high schoolers that I was able to buy many of the things I want with the money I earned from the business. Nice blog post, @iamgagz09. !PIZZA 🍕

Thank you for dropping by. I started loving this kind of business when my sister married to a man who owns a sound system. We used to come with them when they have bookings, ofcourse going to disco is a plus already. Party all night.

Totoo yan, party all night. Sometimes, party 3 nights in a row sa weekends, uwi lang kami sa bahay to shower and change clothes. Bonus na talaga ang earnings sa amin. Those were the days. haha.

Yes po. Naranasan din nmin yan, kami taga hatid ng pagkain lalo pag malapit lang ang venue.

Nakakapagod rin pero masaya. Nice to meet you here Jesamae. See you around.

Opo pero worth it naman kaya okey lang. Nice to meet you din po. See you around.
