Our memorable reunion at the Vanilla Cafe

It had been five months since my last get-together with my friends at the province, and honestly, 5 months felt like an eternity, considering that we used to spend time together almost everyday when I was still at our hometown. Life has been busy for all of us, and the distance made it even harder to catch up. My hometown is a 12-hour ride away from the city where I live, so meeting up isn't as simple as it used to be. Finally, after months of planning, we made it happen.

We chose to meet at the Vanilla Cafe, located at SM City Fairview, it is a cozy, small restaurant that’s perfect for small, intimate gatherings.

The interior is so instagramable which is perfect for people who loves posting photos on social media.

This may look like just a simple door, but this is actually a door to the comfort room lol.

This cafe also offers a variety of sweets to choose from.

The real highlight of our reunion was surprising our dear friend, VJ, who just graduated from college as a Magna Cum Laude! We couldn't be prouder, so we came prepared with gifts to celebrate her remarkable achievement. I picked out a cute Micaella sling bag for her, it is a little pricey but I know that she really deserves this knowing all the hard work and dedication she had during her college days. On top of that, we also got her some makeup products because we all know how much she loves make ups.

The joy on her face when she opened her gifts was priceless.

As we sat there, the hours slipped away while we chatted, laughed, and reminisced. It was like no time had passed at all, even though we hadn’t seen each other in so long.

The Vanilla Cafe provided the perfect backdrop for our long-awaited reunion. With its walls covered in roses and pinks, the place gave off an elegant and dreamy atmosphere which is perfect for either a date night or a catch-up session like ours. The cafe had a certain luxurious feel to it, adding to the specialness of our time together.

Of course, no reunion is complete without good food. We indulged in the cafe's luxury bibimbap, and I have to say, it was the best I’ve had so far. The flavors were rich and balanced, making every bite a delight.

As the eldest among this group, I was incharge of ordering the food.


I ordered a Pink Matcha Coffee Frappuccino to go with it, while VJ tried the Pink Coffee Frappuccino, which looked as fun as it tasted. Ren, who avoids coffee, opted for a refreshing mango juice, and Z went for a coffee jelly. Each choice is perfect for our individual palate.

As a matcha lover, I got no regrets when I chose the pink matcha frappuccino.

This pink coffee frappuccino is a must-try too! The pink small hearts sprinkled on top pf it makes it very cutesy.

In the end, it wasn’t just about the food or the ambiance, but the simple joy of reconnecting with dear friends. We shared stories, caught up on life’s latest twists and turns, and celebrated each other’s successes.

Yes, we opted to go here wearing dresses just to match the place. I must say we looked very demure, very cutesy and elegant. Just don't mind me being out of place just because I was wearing that pair of loafers! LOL.


The trip was worth it, and the memories we created at Vanilla Cafe will last a lifetime. It reminded me that no matter how far apart we may live, or how long it’s been, true friendship never fades. It’s always just a catch-up session away.
