One vision and mission of the BCBP community is to conduct or let the member couple experience the so-called BCMR or Brotherhood Christian Marriage Retreat. This is one of the highlights to be experienced by the couple members of this community. Since my husband and I are new members, we are one of the participants for this year's BCMR. The activity was scheduled last September 29 to October 1, 2023. This was one of the most unforgettable events that happened to us as a couple. The details of this event shall remain secret and confidential as suggested and advised by the management team and organizer. This is to ensure the holiness of the activity and to keep the elements of surprises for the next BCMR participants.
This year BCMR was held at Holy Family Retreat House or Redemptorist Retreat House located at Nivel Hills, Lahug, Cebu City. The venue is quite far from our hometown, so we had a long trip last Friday. This trip was one of the most unforgettable trips for us as a couple. So let me share with you the places we visited on our journey before we arrived at the final venue of our activity.
My husband and I departed from home to Bogo at almost 9:00 a.m. We still have something to buy for our necessities, so we decided to meet up with one of our companions at Rizal Park, Bogo City. At exactly 10:30 am we departed and started our travel. While traveling we visited various places to cater to our needs like having our lunch, coffee, and even personal needs. Therefore, in this blog, I would like to share the places we visited before we ended up on our final journey.
First Top Over(Duko Duko Eatery)
When we arrived at Catmon, we felt an emptiness in our stomachs. It was already 12:20 and we didn't have our lunch yet. Me and my husband ate a little during our breakfast since we were very busy packing up things. We haven't prepared it earlier since I am hesitant to pursue joining the said activity. But since our chapter head motivated us well and never surrendered convincing us we decided to join in a last-minute decision. So we agreed to eat our lunch in this eatery. We had our lunch together and had full stomachs after we savored the various delicious menus served by the eatery.
Second Stopover( Titays)
Our travel is not complete if we can't have our coffee and bought my favorite bread at Titays in Liloan. We stopped for a while in this well-known bakeshop for pasalubong to relax for a while and have our coffee break. After a few minutes, we continued our journey.
The Final Stopover or The Venue of Our Retreat(Holy Family Retreat House)
It took almost 7 hours of our travel before we arrived at the venue. It was a long trip but thank God we arrived safe. The house was located on Hills therefore it was a perfect venue for a retreat. It could be family or any group of people who want to have relaxation away from home. It was surrounded by trees that made the area cool. The lawn was well-landscaped and planted with ornamental and flowering plants thus making it more relaxing even if it was not quite far from the city.
That's all for now. Thank you for reading and supporting my blog
