The Fantastic Year End Party of BEC: Our Neighborhood Organization

Like other communities, organizations, companies, and business firms every year, we also had our Year End Party in our BEC organization. BEC or the Basic Ecclesial Communities is the local or smallest religious community in the neighborhoods with parishes. that conducts a religious meeting, fellowship, and bible every Sunday with all the members. The group is composed of 10 households within the neighborhoods. Every sunday they went to the house of the member scheduled for that week to have their fellowship .Our BEC is led by my mother and co-led by my husband. Therefore, it was my mother who led in pursuing to have our BEC Year End Party 2024 . Before the event, my mother together with the members had a meeting to plan for the upcoming celebration.

During the meeting, we decided to utilize the remaining cash offering for the food with an amount of 3,100.00 pesos. We also agreed to have our exchange gifts worth 100.00 pesos for adults and 50.00 pesos for children. My husband and I were in charge of everything like marketing, cooking, games, sounds, and others.

On the day of the event, I cooked lumpia, pork steak,humba, and bam-i. I just added 2000.00 to the budget to compensate for the planned menu and drinks. I also added 1000.00 for the prizes and it was my sister who pledged the hanging rice and my other sister bought 10 sacks of 5 kilos of rice as giveaways and gifts for souvenirs. We helped each other to make the celebrations more festive as our way of thanking God for all the blessings we received.

We started our get-together lunch and or celebration with a prayer and welcome message. It was me who delivered a welcome message and words of gratitude to everyone who helped to make the celebration successful. After eating, we had various games. The games we played were trip to Jerusalem, head, and shoulder, pass the ball, dress me without dropping a ballon, balloon relay, and bato bato pick.After the games was the exchange gift with a twist. Then it was followed by the pop the ballon for their give aways. They all had fun in popping the ballon since their gifts were all very expensive in the list like aircon, tv,house and lot and nmax motor but in reality it was just a simple cook ware. We just did it to make it more trailing and excited in popping. After the popping of balloon was the giving of 1 sack of or]5 kilos rice. We all had fun and enjoyed much of our year end party. Were very thankful to all who contributed and share their money,time and effort to make the celebration more meaningful and memorable.
