I Wear White Sneakers on Rainy Days

in Hive PH5 years ago

It's been a while since I posted. My work tasks piled up I couldn't even afford to have a date with myself. However, there's one thing I didn't miss. It's trading!

Started at Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE)

Last May, I woke up one morning and decided to invest in stocks. So, I opened a BDO Nomura account and transferred 4,000 PhP (because that's all I have that time)! Eventually, I invested more, did swing trading a few times, and gained a little income. I must say a gain is still a gain!

That time, my risk average was around 5 - in between heaven and hell.

As for my verdict on BDO Nomura with roughly around two (2) months of usage:

ProsConsNotes
Easy money transfer.Trouble logging in 30 mins before the market opens and for the whole time the market is open. There are buy and sell fees but withdrawing and depositing is pretty easy.

Just a reminder that trading or investing takes risks. Your capital is at risk. You may lose what you initially had. It's important that before venturing to the world of trading and investing, you must first assess the risk you're willing to take and also, your identity - are you a day trader, long-term investor, or both? I promise it helps along the way.

Red Ports are Red Days

Shortly after I became a swing trader in PSE, red days came and I couldn't move out. I have put my trust into 6 stocks and a new telco was one of them.

The price of this telco dropped upon news of launch delay and man, I was briefly on edge because numbers are red. When price increased to a reasonable amount, I sold my shares, withdrew it, and created an eToro account.

Since I'm still new in eToro, I tested the waters with trading commodities. Fortunately, after a series of high and lows, I gained profit.

Disclaimer: In trading, we don't want recommendations and we don't want anyone to get hyped. Emotionless trading is, you know, better.

eToro is a CFD trading platform. You can read more of it on their website.

"CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. 75% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with this provider. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work, and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money."

However, if you have plans on pursuing on creating account on eToro, you may use my link to get 50 dollars as a referral reward.

Risk-taker: I'm a 10/10

You now get why that's the title? I am a risk-taker more especially now that I'm trading on eToro. That's what I assessed myself. That's what I also wanted.

Even though I'm a risk-taker, I have safeguards as well. I view myself now as day trader so that I won't have to sleep having nightmares of my money going down the drain the next morning. World market is extremely volatile compared to the Philippine market. That's why tread carefully. #
