Christmastide
So last month, December, up until the start of the new year which is January, I was on the verge of posting some of the highlights of celebrating a special occasion with my family or keeping it privately. So now, I made up my mind to post this blog to share this delightful celebration during the Yuletide Season.
Before we celebrate this special occasion, we make ourselves busy preparing first the food especially the different kinds of mouthwatering dishes and desserts.
My uncle's friends helped him in roasting the pig. Lechon Baboy(roasted pig) was one of our favorite foods when celebrating a special occasion especially during Christmas. It was cooked for a long time in order to achieve the desired tasty roasted pig.
While waiting for the roasted pig will be fully cooked. I was busy packing and preparing the gifts for our ushers. (Me and my husband were a coordinator, hahaha definitely I'm a coordinator, a student, and a mother how busy my life is. We decided to give a gift to our ushers. It's not expensive, but it was a gift for appreciating their efforts to work with us). And also I was preparing an Ampao, a small gift for my classmates who helped me in school while I juggled my studies and took care of my baby. I really appreciate their help, especially carrying out my baby while I finish my school work. So, some of my classmates really deserve to be given this gift(actually 6 of my classmates received this).
After preparing the gifts, my mother in law called us to help her prepare the table and invite our neighbors for dinner.( This occasion was also the continuation of celebrating my son's 1st birthday).
A yummy roasted pig (Lechon Baboy) was ready to be served. The aroma of it, soothes my nostrils and it makes my stomach rumble. Watching the crunchy pig skin also makes my mouth water grrrr.🤤
Minutes later, our neighbors arrived and it was time to attack the food hahahaha I was really hungry and also my family especially my two sons, we couldn't help ourselves and we ate too much on that occasion until we satisfied our hunger.
Celebrating New Year
On this day, we celebrate the prosperous new year. In the same situation during Christmas Day, each of us became busy preparing the need. But, before we prepared the food, we ran errands to the school and we loaded our motorcycle some donation drive I collected from the school which is some unused clothes from the students in our school. My husband and I, delivered it to our nearby barangay to donate it to the people who are from fire victims in Pusok, Lapu-lapu.
After that we went home, and during the early afternoon we prepared the food.
So this is me, busy preparing the desserts which are the salad and the mango float.
My husband and my mother in law requested me to be the one to prepare the desserts, because they really loved the taste of the salad and mango float which I always prepared every special occasion we celebrated.
After preparing the desserts, I let it cool for a while in the fridge.
I also simply decorated the curtains for a nice background. We prepared the table for our dinner and served our favorite dishes like Fried Calamares, Native Chicken Tinola, Lumpia, and more delicious foods.
Before we started eating, we gathered ourselves for a family picture. We looked cute in this picture, my youngest soon enjoying himself playing the balloon decorated on the curtains.😍
The most awaited part is the dinner time yeyyy!! We are enjoying the food we eat it makes me ate 2 plates of rice and tasty dishes. The Native Chicken Tinola Soup is really good.(My husband cooked it, he's really a good cook also like me😂)
Thank you for reaching to the end and taking time to read my blog post. Stay tuned for more of my upcoming blogs and your support really means a lot to me. God bless you all and have a great day ahead💕
