Sunshine and smiles Hivers! I'm Ash, and welcome to my introduction blog.

My full name is Charm Ashley Marie Dy, but you may call me Ash or Ashley for short. I am a 21 years old college student residing in Cebu City, the "Queen City of the South." Currently, I am studying a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management at Cebu Technological University. I've always dreamt of being successful in the future.

Aside from academic excellence, I am an entrepreneur by heart. I run a small crochet business. This business keeps me occupied and satisfied. It also benefits me financially. Crocheting is also one of my hobbies. This hobby provides me with comfort and stress release and when I am exhausted or bored, I crochet.

I began crocheting when the pandemic began. I merely practiced with a 0.5mm little crochet hook and yarn from my notepad. Do you believe the materials are too difficult for a beginner? You're correct! I was able to practice crocheting using these materials because I did not have enough money to purchase a beginner crochet kit. Fortunately, I was able to successfully learn from it. After I mastered crochet, I invested in materials such as several types of yarns and hook sizes. The first project I completed was a butterfly top and a phone purse. My first projects were sold to a friend of my mother.

I also paint and draw, although not professionally. I started painting and drawing when the epidemic began, but I stopped when I was in college since I have a busy schedule and don't have time for it. I am now practicing sculpting polymer clay into attractive keychains and other appealing items. Making lovely keychains out of polymer is my new pastime. When my art appreciation professor assigned us art final projects, I began to enjoy them. Depending on the materials we want, I used polymer clay for my starry night entry. It was difficult at first to bake a polymer because it takes several attempts to achieve a perfect baked polymer clay, but I eventually succeeded.

Jonaxx books are my favorite literature. Jonaxx has written a wide range of novels on Wattpad, including the Costa Leona series, which I particularly enjoyed. I started reading her works when I was 15 years old. My friend recommended I read her works because they have a wonderful plot. I have learned a lot from such novels. Aside from love, I've learned to love myself. I also read self-care books. These books enable me to become a better person. I've learned a lot from those books and applied them to my own life.

I'm also a big lover of romantic comedies. My favorite rom-com movies are How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days and Confessions of a Shopaholic. These are my most comfy films of all time. I've seen many rom-coms, but these are the most memorable. I like to listen to music and podcasts. I never spend a day without listening to music on Spotify. I have a lot of playlists on Spotify. My favorite podcasts so far are SkyFam, MOR, and horror. I frequently listen to podcasts while studying or crocheting. I also rarely listen to self-care podcasts. These hobbies and interests reflect who I am today. I am looking forward to discovering new activities and interests that I will undoubtedly enjoy!

Aside from various hobbies and interests, I am also a lover of dogs and cats. I have two cats named Wibble and Yammy. I found the name Wibble online, and it definitely has a cute vibe. For my tabby cat, I chose the name "Yammy," which is inspired by my best friend's name, Yam Khalid. These two playful cats help me relax but can also stress me out with their clumsiness. They remind me of my late father since he persuaded my mother to allow me to have a cat at home. My mother was against having pets due to a traumatic experience with our previous dog that bit my brother when it was too playful. My father took care of these two cats while he was still alive, which is why they are a cherished memory of him. In addition to my cats, I also have a dog named Bambi. I named her after the Disney animated movie "Bambi." Bambi was given to us by my mother's colleague. When we received her, her previous owner had not cared for her properly, as she was infested with ticks and fleas, very dirty, underweight, and had a terrible odor. She would know what it feels like to be loved and well cared for once she arrived at our home.

I joined Hive to express myself and share my life experiences with others through writing. I'm afraid about expressing myself vocally, so why not express myself through writing, such as blogging? Right? I want to interact and engage with people from different backgrounds. I adore making new friends from other countries. Aside from the advantages of blogging in Hive, I'd like to use it to express myself and share my daily experiences with others. This platform will assist me develop my writing skills as well as the composition of my words.

My contribution to Hive is to assist those people in expressing themselves through blogging, as well as to provide them with new ideas and learnings from other Hive members. We can share our thoughts and experiences by blogging, and perhaps other people will learn about them. This community will guide and assist other moots in becoming more proficient at creating blogs.

I discovered this Hive from @renavris. She is my classmate and pal. She told us about the blogging site she joined and the benefits she received from joining this group. I was first intrigued by this Hive since Rena had told us that some of the members are pleasant and engage with one another frequently. That prompted me to join the hive, and I expect to find a more positive environment here, as other community involvement sites and apps are toxic. Maybe hive is better? Right? I also attended the orientation hosted by @jeannmazing.
