HIGHLIGHTS OF MY YEAR 2022 | Full of opportunities!

in Hive PH2 years ago
Hello there Hivers!

It was an overwhelming year for me. There were a lot of opportunities and I have been going through changes with the goal of finding a better place for myself. There were a lot of firsts too! I hope you have a better year every year! There's nowhere to go but UP!

This 2023, I look forward to big things and meaningful experiences! I will keep my arms wide open for all the blessings I believe will come my way. *cue in The Weeknd "I feel it coming!" 🤣

Here are my favorite photos for each month of 2022!

JANUARY

This is a photo of when we went to Olanggo to give out donations to those affected by super typhoon Odette last December 2021. I was able to participate in fundraising activities to help the community. This is all because of you Hivers as well as my friends who donated and trusted me to hand over the contributions. I am rarely active in community activities but if anyone needs an extra hand, I'm here! 🙋

FEBRUARY

This is a photo of my hand *duh. As you can see, that is a wound from a dog bite. Yep, I included it here because it was my first time getting bitten by a dog considering that I'm a dog lover. It doesn't look that bad in this photo (of course, I won't upload the nasty one) but that dog's teeth got in
pretty deep.
So, my neighbor was walking her dog and I found the dog pretty and playful. I attempted to pat her on the head and the next thing I know, my hand was already in her mouth.
Then my whole world froze. LOL It was def an experience!🤣

MARCH

I liked this picture that my friend took of me featuring my long scary claws. I had a pamper day with my friend and I decided to try out nail extensions. It was really hard to do the day-to-day tasks such as picking up a coin, typing on the phone, washing the plates, putting my earrings on, picking my nose, washing my a**, holding the key to unlock doors, and more. I don't remember a single day not regretting it. These nails lasted for 3 weeks. 🤣 So hard to keep up with all these beauty standards. I try. 🤣

APRIL

Look at this festive table presentation we had during Easter Sunday. I celebrated with my boyfriend's family. I definitely helped myself with all the sweets and croissants. I like how everytime we visit, they always set up the table to make it presentable which my family rarely do (I guess we are lazy haha). I promised myself that when I have my own house, I will invest in cute plates, containers so it feels like every mealtime is a party. 👯

MAY

This was the time we visited the newly opened 3rd bridge (longest bridge in Philippines). We went to Il Corso which was filled with restaurants, food and merchandise stalls. I was so happy that we got my mom out of the house. Sometimes she dislikes going out as it can be really taxing for her but surprisingly she asked to join us with our relatives. It was a beautiful weather to stroll around with a nice view of the ocean.

JUNE

I invited my co-workers for a little get together as I just resigned from the clinic to go full-time online therapy. It was a big decision for me to leave the clinic where I've worked for almost 5 years. But as the saying goes "when one door closes, break in in another door." 🤣🤣 Kidding aside, I'm grateful for the experience I got there. I guess it became a comfort zone, and it's about time to go and try something else.

JULY

Hi @indayclara! haha We met up because I wanted to watch her in one of her Bachata dancing nights at Asmara. It was packed with dancers and they all looked so fun! Claire asked her friends to teach me some of the basic moves. I totally enjoyed my time that night! It was my first time and I'm so proud of myself for handling my shyness towards strangers and my insecurity towards my dancing skills. They were all friendly, Claire was there to take care of me and I guess a little alcohol helped. lol

AUGUST

We had a lovely dinner at a Japanese restaurant where my parents officially met my boyfriend. We were also celebrating my mom's birthday as well as my dad's arrival as an OFW
(Overseas Filipino Worker). It was our first dinner out together. We had a good time and I was so happy to see them get to know each other. Hopefully, we can do more soon!

SEPTEMBER

Another first! I moved out of the house! It's a good and a bad thing. I feel bad for leaving but I think I need to do this as this will help me learn things outside of what I'm used to. I want a new routine, a new environment, and more time for doing things I can't do when I was back home. So hopefully things work out! 🤣

OCTOBER

Met up with @thegaillery for a quick lunch. So grateful for friends who make time despite busy schedules. We had quite a conversation, and a lot of catching up on all topics we can think of! Still reminding each other of our 1 Million peso challenge. 🤣

NOVEMBER

I gained new friends this year! For the first time, we hosted a game night at our place. We prepared snacks and drinks, others brought food for dinner and some of them brought board games.
It was a wholesome group!

DECEMBER

We had a Christmas party and a sexy dance workshop at our Pole studio. It was my first time learning how to dance with these 7-inch pleasers that I borrowed from our coach. Hopefully, if I get better at it, I will definitely want to buy my own! 😁 Cheers to this year guys!
