Hello, my fellow Hivers! For today’s blog, I’m going to show you all the wonderful and exciting events that happened in our school! And since it’s the month of February which is the start of many events that will bring us joy and love. A month when we celebrate Valentine's Day, here our relationship grows stronger together with our partner, friends, and even our family.

Valentine’s Day is not only for couples it can also be celebrated together with people that you’re close with or someone with whom you feel comfortable. But Valentine’s Day is not the only event that was held in our school. February is also considered as the start of Arts Month so many activities were presented on the very same day. Each grade and section has different things to do, for the lower grade which is Grade 7 they didn’t have many things to do but to support the upper grade as an audience and visitor. For the next grade, Grade 8 they were given the task to recreate their entire classroom into a museum the same goes for the Grade 9. And as for the last Grade of junior high school the Grade in which I’m in, we’re given a task to perform a folk dance to perform although it is in line in Physical Education but it was being agreed to perform it on Arts Day.

It was hard and our schedule was tight since it was also the day where we presented our Title defense. Everyone was stressed, tired, and nervous about the Title defense but at least the romantic and calming music on the school campus is somewhat helping me relax. Before it all started the folk dance was performed first thing in the morning after the flag ceremony, and our section was the first one to perform in front of the large crowd. Three sections performed perfectly without any problems and the customs stood out so well, the first performers was my section. I wasn’t part of the dance since there was a limit of performers and dancers and only 10 pairs were allowed.

It was amazing and I was proud of my cousin @lovelyclaire because she danced gracefully and gave her best to smile and to make it worth all of their efforts.

Then the next section walked all together in the middle of the court and began dancing, this time the performers were in perfect balance and they knew where their places were. And also the costumes are gorgeous and very enjoyable to watch. It took around 3-4 minutes to finish for the second performers and the third and the last section took the spotlight.

I was amazed, but I’m not biased it’s just that their costume was so fancy and elegant! And I love the way they danced, it’s slow and clean without any mistakes. But to be fair everyone is a winner, they put a lot of efforts into their dance so I think everyone deserves an award for a magnificent performance!

Now that the fun has ended it’s time for us to prepare for our Title Defense, only the grade 10 students have this and we have to present it today and defend it well or we’ll have no grade in this subject. We waited until it was our turn and it took a while for the other groups to finish so it lasted until afternoon. At that time I was nervous and scared that maybe all of our titles would get rejected but I didn’t let fear get the best of me so instead I motivated my group members to give their all and promised that it would be alright.

I’m not even sure of the outcomes and there could be a possibility that it will be rejected but it’s alright, even if we have to start all over again at least we learned from our mistakes. So when it was already our turn we prepared for the worst, but unfortunately just as I expected the panelists didn’t approve our title but they didn’t reject it either. It was partially approved and it is more than fine than being rejected with all your effort wasted.

To cope with my sadness I chose to be positive and explored the whole art museum in each classroom. To enter it requires a ticket that costs ₱1.00, they also have a VIP ticket that costs ₱5.00 which has free snacks and drinks, it’s cheap and very much worth trying! The first museum that we entered was the Grade 9 classroom, their theme was about an art gallery with a mix of a historic vibe.

I wondered where they got all these paintings, maybe they bought it, or painted it themselves, if they did then they have a gifted talent to paint this masterpiece! I’ve never got to try visiting a museum in real life and if I did then I would have the same feeling when I entered this place glancing and observing the art.

Trying to understand the meaning behind this art and knowing the emotions that show within. Now it’s time to visit the other museum! The next museum was all about instruments in the past in different nations.

IMG20240216160256.jpg

For the first table, these instruments belong to India, I wasn’t familiar with these instruments and they seem new to me. It has unique features and they look hard to use, while some of the instruments have a shape and form like our modern instrument in our time.

The next table is from our country, the Philippines! They used D.I.Y materials to create these instruments and you can see their effort, and just the others these are pretty traditional.

And now the last table is from Israel, this one looks very similar to India’s instruments but it has different uses, and the sounds it makes are very new to me, the only instrument that I knew is the tambourine.

After exploring the museum we stopped and listened to the band on the stage, that’s when I saw my Filipino teacher singing the song “True Colors by Cyndi Lauper” together with her partner. I was shocked to hear how she sang so well, I’ve never expected that she had an amazing talent, and it's like listening to the original song! Many students clapped their hands after they ended the song, it was beautiful and her voice was soothing in the ears. Congratulations to everybody who did their best! So now I’ll end my blog here everyone! I hope you liked my story! Many events are coming and I’ll gladly share another exciting story! Thanks for reading my blog, and see you next time!

It was such a treat to see how your school event unfold! your cousin @lovelyclaire sure look graceful and beautiful.I was expecting you would perform. 😁

Also, sorry to hear about your thesis defense but know that its ok! Mistakes only make you wiser so learn from it. Im sure you will pass it.

I never had an Arts Month back during my school days so it was nice seeing the amazing artwork done by students. The mock museum hopefully helped your fellow students appreciate art even more.

She was perfect! In every event she's always a part of every dance! But for me, unfortunately I don't have a talent of dancing so it's fine😅. And the title defense went well after a few days so I'm fully healed❤️. Thanks for reading my blog @indayclara!

That is a nice activities, it helps student to show their hidden talents

They may be lowkey about their talents and they're too shy to show it! This is a perfect way to ignite their own talents! Thanks for reading my blog @queeniemary❤️

I love the masterpiece. Actually, I really admire those people who have talent especially doing paintings, posters and slogans. Since, I don't have this kinds of talent but I want to learn even in a simple artwork.

Of course, and even if others don't know how to paint and share their own talents they can help by little things that has a big impact on other people! Thanks for reading my blog @bernababes

This is nice. I love having this kind of activity in school, that helps the students to bring out their talents and skills will develop their self-esteem.
