MANILA, PHILIPPINES

in Hive PH2 years ago

Last Sunday, we went to Manila because my church mates, including my mother, talked about going to Quiapo to buy beads they were going to use for making a rosary.

I had no idea that they would leave, so my decision to join them was unexpected. They suddenly invited me to join them when I arrived at the church. I didn't want to go because I still had stuff to take care of, but they compelled me to go even though I didn't want to.

I was only wearing my everyday clothes when we arrived in Manila, Philippines, which was a t-shirt and shorts (it's a bit embarrassing but just go with the flow HAHAHA). We can truly appreciate and be proud of the Philippines' beauty if we carefully explore every corner of the country in which we were born. The sights and towering structures in the Philippines are very stunning, and before I travel the world, I want to start with my country.

Since the pandemic, it has been a while since my previous trip to Manila. Due to my inability to go for a walk recently, I have almost forgotten about the deviations here. I was shocked by what I saw; a new and indescribable feeling. I'm relieved to have returned to Manila after a lengthy period of being unable to do so. It turns out that the size of it has changed, and even more the number of tall buildings that weren't there before.

At around 3:00 in the afternoon, we arrived in Quiapo. We went to the Quiapo church first and then we went to bead market and looked for materials to use to make a rosary. Our walk was filled with conversation and laughter. No matter how tired we were from the trip, we still had fun.

We passed the Luneta Park, and we also went to the Grandstand. We also went to the National Museum and Moa, but I was not able to take a picture because I was making the most of every second we were there.

If I ever get the chance and time to visit Manila once more, I'd like to go with my family and two closest friends and enjoy the time we have there, which I will treasure for the rest of my life.
