A Service To The Gems Who Keep On Shining Brighter

in Hive PH2 years ago

The school year has officially closed in our campus. Yet, there are still some responsibilities that we are bound to comply with. Aside from responding fast to emergency situations, safeguarding the students during events, and empowering them with life skills, we are also needed to control the crowd and facilitate a program if requested. Our organization is new and some of the departments wouldn't recognize us, but we have to show how capable we are and let them realize our importance in every school-based events, then establish an image that they will respect.

Criticisms are always there, no matter what you do and how you do it because everyone has their own perspectives. We don't mind that, as long as what we are doing is right and we have good intentions in everything. Let them speak their minds, likewise, we'll also do what we have to do. A responsibility that we have volunteered ourselves for the betterment of our college where it gives us education without any fees in return. It is the least we can do to give back the good favor we have been recieving; in a form of community service.

Facilitating the Team Building of 2023 Graduates

Almost a month before, we were informed that we would facilitate the said program. A meeting for planning happened as we divided the work and assigned people who can facilitate each game, then relay a lesson implied from the gameflow to the students.

It was a three-day activity, wherein the whole batch were divided into three groups since we couldn't handle a thousand students in just one go which we were only few facilitating them. Also, the grounds aren't that spacious for all of them to occuppy. Here are the games we prepares for them, that somehow they had enjoyed playing as a team.

These games had challenged their teamwork to form strategies to how they can win each game within the given time frame since we only have limited hours to finish all of this. Focus and communication is the key. Some of them got it fast, but some needed more hints. Since time is running out in some groups, we taught them hints so they could proceed to the next game. Win or lose, at the end of the activity, they were still happy with the results since they had enjoyed each games very well.

Graduation Practice to the Event Proper

Practice is needed for a program to flow smoothly and to avoid unnecessary problems while it is ongoing. Though there were officers assigned to facilitate, we were still asked to assist them. Seating arrangements were given, and each graduating student was told of the row and their seat number accordingly. They were guided of the where are entrances, and where will they march.

Our Activity Center can surely accomodate them all, if they sit on the benches and some on the chairs on the middle. The problem is the ventilation because the Air Conditioner can't handle a thousand students all at once. So, the school decided to hold the program at the SMX Convention Center. Each of the students must pay for the venue, but at least, their safety is secured and it can provide more space and seats for all of the students, parents, faculties, guests, and VIPs.

Seeing how happy they are while marching on the stage, receiving their awards, and diplomas together with their parents, made me feel like I was a proud parent, too. They have fought for years and had a long journey, they struggled but strived to thrive until that very day. As their fellow student, I know their struggles and witnessed a part of it. I'm happy for what they have achieved.

May we have a long way to reach that stage, but we are inspired by their success. College is hard and the life after that is harder, yet it will never be a reason for us to give up on our dreams. We didn't come this far for nothing or everything to go in vain.

Congratulations to all of the graduates of batch 2023. And to the other students of our school, we're here to give service until they are the next ones to march up the stage. While we are still here with them, we'll continue to give our services.

Y'all did great, from planning and into making it into reality. Ignore those who has a lot to say, as long as you know to yourselves na maraming natutulungan and napapasaya ang team nyo then gora. You are so busy na talaga Ayane chan pero fighting! ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ

Busy nga, dami ko na kasi trip sa buhay ngayon. Yep, we'll continue with our advocacy with good intentions. Nevermind those who has a lot to say.

Whatever we do, whether good or bad, people have always something to say. As long as you're not stepping on someone else's foot, continue what you have started. Keep going!😊

By the way, the activities were truly engaging and fun. It was evident on the students' happy faces.😊

That's the goal, and we're also happy that we have facilitated it with good results. Thanks for stopping by, and have a good day.

The students really cooperated and for sure, they've learned something from the activities. This is an experience they will always look back.
