For this #beersaturday adventure, I found a fresh batch of one of my favorite hazy IPAs. This one comes from WarPigs, a brewery that originated as a collaboration between Three Floyds and Mikkeller. Today, the brewery is now a stand-alone operation, and they produce some great beers.

First and foremost, I like to let the label do the talking.

The artwork on the can is pretty cool too.

The beer itself is wonderful. This beer sits at 6.8% ABV, so it's definitely a session beer. The color, head, and nose speak to the style perfectly.

It's not overly hoppy either; the amber profile lets you know that hazy IPAs don't always have to be light in color.

I always give this one a 4.25/5.00 on Untappd; tonight is no different. It's the perfect beer to drink while we finally finish up the most recent Locke And Key series tonight. An easy enough Saturday night after a day of dad daycare, yet again.

Have a wonderful Saturday night everyone!

OMG. WarPigs. I want to try some just for the name. That's awesome.

All of their can art is pretty slick too - sort of like odd, decrepit Winter white walkers.

I have to admit some ignorance here: what makes a beer sessionable? Is it a low-enough ABV to drink several without getting too tipsy, or a beer to be savored over a period of time instead of getting gulped down?

There's good reason for me to title most of my reviews as amateurish!

No problem! Yeah, the idea is you can have three or four of them without getting in too much trouble. For me, the hazys can go down like water, so if I get anything above 7%, look out! Karoake/touch tunes time!

That looks pretty great can't lie! 6.8% Is on the heavy side but I don't think that's a bad thing if the taste is mellow enough

Thanks so much! Yeah, we sconnies like the heavy session beers, for sure.
