Beer Thirstday: The Hustlelening

in BEER3 years ago (edited)

Here we are again, another beer tastetening evening. This time @rodino is hosting and his selection is looking great again.

Not much to write, we are just going to enjoy the drinks. Celebrating I finally lost the kidney stone that has been bugging me for way too long. 😅

Have a great one!

I'm so happy for you to get rid of that nasty stone!
We had a blast while drinking our beers. But it really started when we had the Val dieu, somethig with the devine lord above us.
Whatever, always make a finish with the best for last, so 'The mine is bigger than yours' really topped it of.
Thx for a great evening bro.
And for our readers: What beer does meet your desire? Please tell us in the comments below.
Thx in advance 😊

Thanks Broah, very glad that I got rid of it.

It was a great tastetening again. Had a great time. And indeed the Val Dieu really was a Grand Cru. With the best one saved for last 'Mine is bigger than yours', superb.

Thank you too!

Nice collection! I guessed it right that you are a Dutchy too 😀

I've had most of these as well and I like the Lupulus one. The other beers from Lupulus are nice too.
Have you ever tasted the Bernardus 12? If you like strong beers I can recommend that one too.

Yes the Bernardus 12 is even better.
Actually I'm not fond of any bitter beer, and unfortunately, most are.
I really like them sweet ones ;)

I dont like the very bitter beers as well. I skip the dubbels, DIPA's and porters. They also shouldnt be too sweet for me. You might like the Gouden Carolus and Karmeliet then. Have you already tried those?

Hahaha, yes, from the north-east of the Netherlands!

Do not know if I had the 12% Bernardus. The 8 was too bitter to our liking. The best were saved for last. The Val Dieu 'Grand Cru' and the Danish 'Mine is bigger than yours'. That last one is really an excellent kind of brew.

Proost!

I'm from the west coast. The 8 is a 'dubbel'. I like blondes better 😄
But I can also appreciate tripels, Barley wines and IPA's (if not too bitter).

If not too bitter

Yes, I can relate to that. On Beer Thirstday RoDino and I do prefer the not too bitter ones. Bitter all through and leaving that as a main taste are the only ones we will be pouring down the drain.

Barley Wines are on the preferred list. 😁👍

Man, I can stand this combination and wish you a nice evening.

Interesting message on that yellow beer..... ;-)

Thanks! It was a great evening. :-)
The yellow one has some Danish humor on the label. Its bottle size is indeed bigger than the others. And the taste of that one is a winner. So I guess they are allowed to brag about their size. 😄👍
