Hello, Beer Community here on Hive! My (cyber)name is NomNomNoodle, an occasional beer drinker, who wants to overcome the beer-iers ๐ and write about something I'm not used to writing much about so I can join #BeerSaturday week!. This is actually something new I've never heard of. This one has been personally brought up to me by @ak08 in his post of Rediscovering LEO Beer: A Supermarket Adventure.
Anyway, here's my take on this challenge. I have thought about it and I said to myself, hey let's write about one of the best times I had with beer, which happened in Da Nang, Vietnam. So, Beer we go! ๐บ๐บโจ Start off with me and this huge beer. I promise there'll be more of the beers.
This place, which you've probably heard about before, is a famous destination. You guessed it right (I hope) It's Bana Hills, in Da Nang. Bana Hills is a tourist attraction filled with rides and nice buildings. I hope to get to write more about my time there in the next post.
The most important thing that I'll be specifically writing about this time is "the BEER FEST". I borrowed some pics from this website to show you what the atmosphere would be like.
There's this beer fest zone in Bana Hills, where beers, food, and shows are available for you to enjoy.
There were booths and stalls, which you could order from. I like that they had the staff wear not only Drindl, the local costume from Munich in Germany but also Nรณn lรก, the Vietnamese hat. Cute.
They set up the place with outdoor tables and umbrellas. You can chill and order beers and food there.
Honestly, I didn't remember seeing these deliciously-looking BBQs. If I did, I would definitely order them.
What I ordered to eat in real life is this traditional German "Brezel". If I remember correctly, I ate 2-3 that day. haha, I miss good Brezel.
Big compliments from me to serve both "Dunkel" and "Weiร" Beer. And for the readers, who had no idea what I'm talking about, here is some info I got for you, from craftbeer and beer and brewing.
The German-style Dunkel is a bottom-fermented lager-style beer. The word โDunkelโ is German for โdark,โ and this dark beer style offers beer lovers balanced flavors of chocolate, bread crust, and caramel.
Weiss bier is the classical wheat beer of Bavaria and one of Germanyโs greatest and most distinctive beer styles. Typically 40-60% of the grains used in these beers are wheat. Wheat adds a creamy, slightly tangy flavor to these styles. With wheat as the common denominator, these beers differ in flavor and aroma due to the addition of certain types of yeast used
Apparently, for a while I haven't had any true Weiร beer, I fell in love with this beer, since the first sip. That's the beginning of the chaos of that day.
I ended up with as many beers as I could count because I drank so much and so fast I didn't even know I was drunk. It was broad daylight too! I didn't realize it at all. The beer was THAT good, guys.
On the way back, I walked and saw a cute little girl and I wanted to take pictures with her. I asked her parents and they were really nice and allowed me to do that. But as I went for the girl, she was so scared of me being sloppy drunk and she was like ... (left gif) and I was like ... (right gif).
Not only that, but the thing is to leave Bana Hills you need to take a cable car down and I was so lucky I didn't throw up in there and got back to the hotel safely.
Be aware of how much you drink and how much you can handle. But, the people in this community would know that the best, am I right?
So, stay alert as you keep chugging those beers!
Khob khun kaa,
Nomnomnoodle ๐
OMG, must you really create such an amazing post that put me to shame?! ๐
Please teach me how to create such beautiful content ๐
Jokes aside, I have heard of the Bana Hills but haven't got an opportunity to visit it!
After looking at your post, I definitely want to place priority and visit the next time I head to Vietnam!
Looks like a place where I would thoroughly enjoy myself ๐
oh, come on @ak08... I only just wrote it randomly with only the slightest information about beers lol I wish i could tie-in beer history like yours :)
I must thank you for inviting me to join this challenge! It was fun to have to think off your feet sometimes :) I did find myself sometimes have no idea what to post here on hive and your suggestion came at perfect time! Please let me know if there's more.
btw, Bana Hills is really cool and the weather there, since it's on the mountain, was so cold and nice. That's my favorite thing up there, oh apart from this beer fest of course. ๐
Are you really gonna just leave me hanging and not teach me how to be a better content creator?! ๐
You're very welcome! I'm sure that the BEER Community would enjoy your post as much as I did and your participation would surely delight @detlev ๐
Yeah I will definitely visit because of the Beer Fest and not the rides! FYI I can't stand those rides, they are too much for my weak heart ๐๐
haha just kidding! I'd love to share it with you of course! I just not sure how to start.. Hmmm maybe if you could help me specify and point the part that you thought I did well, and I could start from that?
Hahaha nice one there! ๐
I feel that my current writing style resembles storytelling, and while it's easy to comprehend and visually appealing, it might not effectively captivate readers or establish a strong personal connection. It could be a result of how I was taught to write in school, primarily focusing on formal essay writing. I've been actively working on altering my writing style to make it more engaging and relatable to the readers. Hopefully I get there soon! ๐
Ahh got it! Well, honestly I'm working on the same thing! Since English is not my first language, I too was writing like just plainly put one thing after another. Hmm I guess how I've tried to make it more engaging is that I tried my best to put "me" in my writing. Like how I would tell this story to one of my friends and how expressive I was. I guess I kinda used that in to blogging.
Anyway, I already found your work amazing! And it's so good to see that you want to improve them even more. Can't wait to witness them. :))
Your command in the English language is already pretty impressive considering it isn't your first language! It seems that I struggle with making my writing feel casual. I often find myself reverting to a more formal style, resembling an essay I need to submit or a structured piece. Blogging is certainly a fresh experience for me! ๐
This statement, coming from you feels really good, thank you and I appreciate that ๐
You had so much fun there! I love beer! I wish I could go to a place like this!
I had a great time there with great beer. Yes! I highly recommend it. Bana Hills is a great travel spot to check it out.
Is that in Vietnam?
it is, yes. In Da Nang of Vietnam
I love your pictures, what device do you use to take them?๐ป
Thank you so much! Itโs just my out-of-date iphoneX that I been using for years now. Good lighting and angle are my biggest help really.
I have already received quite a few positive reviews of iPhone for photography hehe, maybe at some point I'll buy one to achieve that quality... Cheers, I love your edits and content.โค๏ธ
Aw that's very sweet of you @emybaby Me personally, I've always liked that Iphone has this realistic affect on the picture more than filtered affect on Android.
Let's keep in touch and if there's anything I could help out, please let me know!
It will be so! Thank you very much for your receptivity, I send you a hug.๐
Beer is good for the body but shouldn't be taken excessively. You had some peaceful moments. Hope you didn't fall on your way? ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
Honestly, I almost did ๐
Hahaha, please next time, let's go together do as to hold you lolz ๐๐
