Bombshell Blonde and Buries Hatchet Stout are just a couple of examples of the beer brewed at Southern Star Brewing Co. in Conroe. Production began at Southern Star in 2008 and has grown steadily since then. In 2009, Southern Star launched the annual Pro-AM (professional amateur) competition for amateur brewers. As a prize, the winning beer is phased into Southern Star's production system.
