In 1864, Emperor Maximilian of Habsburg arrived at the Port of Veracruz. After a long voyage by ship, he found that there was no beer in Mexico and decided to hire the best master brewers from the old continent to bring them to the country and start producing it. Shortly after starting to brew it, bandits began to steal carriages full of this wonderful new elixir. Maximiliano decided to take matters into his own hands and hired charros to guard and protect the carriages that transported his beer, naming them PROTECTORS OF BEER. This is how our name was born
