Give it a shot, it's worth it ;)
I will.... I would drive probably one or 1 and a half hours to Aachen.
Then you can't really delve into sampling I believe Aachen has a great train connection, though.
Or, there's likely a great microbrewery in your place too. Feel free to visit it for #beersaturday ;)
