A very powerful and fragrant Belgian blond beer. Triple beer or strong beer depending on one's taste can give a subjective experience. Because it is very strong for some people it can break the taste. Corne La Triple for me was very good taste and top quality beer. The beer has coppery blond color with a thick creamy white foam, it has hopped and honeyed aroma with taste of fruity and caramelized notes. Corne La Triple comes from small Belgian brewery and everybody knows that Belgian beers are the best. But you have to know if you have more than 3 small bottles of triple beer you already went outside of tasting zone to "getting drunk" zone.

Corne La Triple was made by d'Elby brewery. But now it is produced by La Brasserie des Légendes in Irchonwelz near Ath in Belgium. Usually the beer comes with matching glass in shape of a horn in wooden stand. Obviously "La Corne" in French means "the horn". Much more than a beer, La Corne du Bois des Pendus draws its history from a tragedy that occurred in 1636 in Parette, a Belgian village located in the town of Attert in Wallonia. At that time, the people there are in full 30 years war and the Hungarian, Serb and Polish troops cross Germany to attack France. At this time, the foreign troops think they are in France, whereas they are in Belgium, and do not take long to go on the attack by tracking down the villagers who have taken refuge in the forest of Anlier, where they will finally be hanged on the trees. Although very similar, the story of the Ebly brewery is inspired by this drama to tell us its story by focusing on Cornelius, a famous brewer at the origin of a beer whose recipe he keeps secretly. The very morning before the attack on his village, Cornelius had buried his recipe at the foot of a large oak tree. Since the hangings, the forest has been haunted by the ghost of Cornelius who keeps repeating “To anyone who drinks beer from the Horn of the Bois des Pendus, pronouncing the following words: “GLORY TO THE HORN, TO CORNELIUS AND TO ALL THE HANGED DU BOIS, SANTE SANS PITIE” will be granted eternal life.”

La Corne du Bois des Pendus is part of a range of Belgian beers brewed by La Brasserie des Légendes (for la Brasserie d'Ebly). There are four beers in the range, namely La Corne Blonde, La Corne Triple, La Corne Quadruple and La Corne Black.
