Hi, here I am. Today's a lovely cool day to go to the park, and I wanted to stop by my friends' house, the Gatubedos. It had been a while since I'd visited them, and it was about time. As you know, they live in a space where the man who watches over the park takes care of them; he feeds them and sometimes gets help from park visitors.

Llegando Al Parque

Hola, aquí estoy, hoy un día muy fresco para ir al parque, quería pasar por la casa de mis amigos, Gatubedos; tenía tiempo que no iba a visitarlos, ya me tocaba. Como saben, ellos viven en un espacio donde los cuida el señor que vigila el parque; él los atiende y les da de comer; algunas veces recibe ayuda de los visitantes del parque.

Despite the large number of cats, he's very fond of them, and visitors are used to seeing them everywhere. We always see them scampering around the enclosure, and sometimes we see them resting and sleeping. Today, out of curiosity, I decided to take a surprise look at them, and I found them resting. While wandering around, I tried to spot the caretaker, but I couldn't find him, so I decided to go further into the enclosure to see how they were doing. Very few of them came out to meet me, as they preferred to sleep.

Muy pocos me salieron al paso, ya que preferían dormir.

While some were washing up, I saw a cat among the bushes with her kittens, watching over them. I continued walking; from a distance I noticed a fenced-in area, which I had been curious to see on other occasions, but I hadn't dared approach it for fear that the park ranger would tell me off, but today I satisfied my curiosity.

Mientras unos se lavaban, vi a una gata entre los arbustos con sus crías, cuidándolos. Así seguí caminando; de lejos observé un espacio enrejado, que en otras oportunidades tenía la curiosidad de ver, pero no me atrevía a acercarme por temor a que el guardaparque me llamara la atención, pero hoy sacié mi curiosidad.

Guess what? I found it incredibly sweet. Once I arrived, I could see through the bars several little beds with sheets and bowls ready for each kitten. Everything was spotless, and you could see the care the person puts into the place. It made me happy, and at the same time, I was touched to see how this man goes out of his way to care for this community of felines; it's a truly commendable effort that deserves recognition. I only noticed a few kittens that weren't being cared for, and I think that's because of the food, since the larger cats take it from the smaller ones.

¿Adivinen?, para mí fue muy tierno; una vez que llegué, pude ver a través de las rejas varias camitas con sábanas y platos dispuestos para cada gatico. Todo lo vi muy limpio y se notaba la delicadeza que la persona le pone al lugar. Eso me causó alegría y a la vez me conmoví de ver cómo este señor se esmera por cuidar a esta comunidad de gatubedos; es una labor muy loable que debería ser reconocida. Muy pocos fueron los mininos que pude notar con pocos cuidados, y se debe, creo, a la comida, ya que los gatos más grandes le quitan a los más pequeños.

He impressed me because of his white eyes. That's why we see him several times in the pictures.

El me impresiono, por sus ojos blancos. Por eso lo vemos varias veces en las imagenes.
