Hello wonderful Felines and Hoomans of Greater Hivelandia!

I love the weekend because it includes CATURDAY, and that's today! So Happy Caturday everyone — remember to share your cat pictures today!

Although I sometimes mess with the Hoomans by playing "hard to get," I actually enjoy being fawned over and having my picture taken.

The thing is, photo sessions often include extra kitty treats!

The Mom-Hooman is best at catching me slightly off-guard and taking the shot before I can get in her face and create some good "cat blur."

Most proper cat photography involves a lot of shots of ears, noses... and just the space where the cat was, a fraction of a second ago!

Typically we end up taking 50-100 photos to get a handful that are (a) in focus and (b) reasonably presentable.

Today, it went off a little better than usual because it was kind of cool in the house after a cold night, and I was reluctant to give up my warm spot on the blanket!

The Mom-Hooman does like to "glam" up my pictures a bit... so the above is the final version that she also put on her Facebook feed.

Aren't I fabulous?

Of course, posing for photos is exhausting work, so afterwards I always need a good nap!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Caturday... and that you're not losing too much sleep over the ongoing turbulence in the crypto markets.

This, too, shall pass... in the meantime, take it easy!

Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!

Caturday Community by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of subscribers but is not very active.

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.

Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the recently formed Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and has quite a bit of cat content!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
