I hope your holiday season has been wonderful and filled with great food, snacks and lots of comfortable naps!

Enjoying a rare afternoon of winter sunshine!

It is, once again, Caturday... my favorite day of the week... and it is also the final time this week we get to share cat photos for Caturday!

Christmas was quite peaceful and thankfully uneventful here at our place... aside from the fact that there was lots of good food in the house, and the Hoomans were even forthcoming with extra treats for us cats.

I don't think Nala really understands the meaning of "boundaries!"

Now we quietly enjoy the last few days of 2025 before taking on a whole new year. I wonder what 2026 will bring us?

Of course, we're hoping it will be a much better year than the one which has just been. 2025 was — to be honest — a very difficult year, at least for our Hoomans.

The Son-Hooman has now arrived from Seattle for his "winter stay" with us. He has a "seasonal job" which means he doesn't go to work between Christmas and the beginning of March.

It's a strange arrangement, in which he does have permanent work, but he gets laid off for 10 weeks, ever winter. I guess it's something they just do, in the Parks Department where he works!

Haven't really made any formal plans or goals for the New Year, but I am sure the Dad-Hooman and I will take a few moments to do that, this coming week!

We actually did manage to reach a major @curatorcat Hive milestone in 2025, when our little kitty account here attained Hive "Dolphin" status. So that was pretty cool!

In a few days it will be New Year's Eve, and we'd like to take a moment to remind all Hoomans who are owned by cats that we love celebrations, we don't think loud fireworks and flashing lights are a good time!

So if you are going out for the night and leaving the cats at home, please make sure we have a safe comfortable hidey hole in an accessible closet or under a bed where we can feel safe when the noise outside begins.

Meanwhile, there are rumors of snow and winter weather in the Hooman forecast, and we hope that just stays a rumor! There was a tiny bit of the white stuff on the ground this morning, and I hope that's all we get because the Hoomans get so grumpy when they have to go out in it!

But it's also very cold and makes me feel very grateful to be a pampered housecat!
