Hey Retirement

"Hey Retirement 🌟
At 62, I took the leap into retirement, not knowing what to expect. The uncertainty of this new phase was real. Would I just sit at home, wondering what to do? I'd always been on someone else's schedule, from babyhood to preteens, high school, college, and a 40-year work journey. But on June 30, 2022, when I officially retired, it was like a sigh of relief. 🎉

For the first time, I could craft my own schedule, based on my desires and financial freedom. It was all on me. The question lingered: Should I idle away or seize this newfound freedom I'd worked my whole life for? The moment I could say, 'No, I don't feel like getting up,' or 'I'll get up when I truly feel like it.' 🛌

This freedom has brought immense joy to my life. I still feel like a novice in controlling my schedule and life. Fortunately, I had a hobby that had been with me all along – writing poems and songs, putting my experiences and emotions on paper. Three years ago, I started my own record label, LTJ Media Records, and have since written and produced over 250 songs. 🎶

I've had the privilege of working with incredibly talented artists who've breathed life into my vision. My life's mottos have always been: 'Never run on empty,' 'There's a lot more left,' and 'I'll wear out before I rust out.' 🚀

As I continue to embrace the best days of my life, I intend to savor every moment. I've asked myself if I'd live the last 62 years differently, and at first, my answer was 'yes.' But then, I realized that every experience, success, failure, and blessing has shaped me into who I am today. Now, I look back for wisdom and to relive the wonderful moments life has granted me. 🌄
I am my life, and my life is me. ❤️ #RetirementJourney #EmbracingFreedom #LivingMyBestLife"
