Hola queridos HIVE´s Feliz Día del Trabajador, en este post vengo a compartirles mi día a día trabajando en el área de logística, su metodología y lo dinámico que suele ser cada proceso.

My position in this company is as Warehouse Supervisor, I usually receive the merchandise in the warehouse, I report the quantity received either by units or packages, its explicit description and report any incident that has suffered in its journey from customs to the warehouse where we manage its safekeeping.

Mi cargo en esta empresa se desempeña como Supervisor de almacenes, suelo recibir la mercancía en el almacén, reporto la cantidad recibida bien sea por unidades o bultos, su descripción bien explicita y reportar alguna incidencia que haya sufrido en su trayecto desde las aduanas hasta el almacén donde gestionamos su resguardo.
ENGLISH
On this occasion we received motorcycle spare parts, these come in relatively large and heavy boxes and everything is handled with a forklift, from unloading to location.

En esta ocasión recibimos repuestos de motocicletas, estas vienen en cajas relativamente grandes y de buen peso la cual todo es manipulado con montacargas, desde su descarga hasta su ubicación.

After this procedure is done the palletizing of the same to be able to organize it in different locations within the warehouse, once this process is done with all the information taken we make the inventory to obtain control of each product either its existence, type of goods and quantity supplied in packages or units in each location.

Luego de este procedimiento se realiza el paletizado de la misma para poder organizarla en diferentes ubicaciones dentro del almacén, una vez hecho este proceso con toda la información tomada realizamos el inventario para obtener el control de cada producto bien sea su existencia, tipo de mercancía y cantidad suministrada de bultos o unidades en cada ubicación.

It should be noted that my job is quite easy to interpret but it is a labor of great attention, we can not ignore any code or digit as errors often occur during the entry of information into the system and physically you have to walk a lot all over the place because the warehouse is huge. PS: The walk is free hahaha.

Cabe destacar que mi trabajo se interpreta bastante fácil pero es una labor de mucha atención, no podemos ignorar ningún código, ni dígito ya que suelen ocurrir errores durante el ingreso de información en el sistema y a nivel físico hay que caminar mucho por todo el lugar ya que el almacén es inmenso. PD: La caminata es gratis jajaja.

I dare say that it is a very dynamic job that even though we have a previous planning, there is usually a change during the process and you have to know how to make decisions so that the objective is fulfilled, in short, you do not get bored, it is not a repetitive job, and when the errors flow, logic puts you to the test to solve them.

Me atrevo decir que es un trabajo bastante dinámico que a pesar que contamos con una planificación previa suele suceder algún cambio durante el proceso y hay que saber tomar decisiones para que la objetivo se cumpla, en pocas palabras no te aburres, no es un trabajo repetitivo, y cuando fluyen los errores la lógica te pone a prueba para resolver.

Con el tiempo que llevas lo harás ya sin pensar. La logística depende de miles de factores y como dices es más complejo de lo que se piensa. Es casi un milagro que los paquetes puedan llegar de una punta del mundo a otra en tan poco tiempo. Haces un trabajo esencial, espero que ayer pasaras un buen día del trabajador. Saludos.
