Nuestro Día de Útiles Escolares [Esp/Eng]

Hola otra vez linda comunidad💛. Hoy les comparto un poco de lo que fue mi fin de semana pasado.

Mis papás habían planificado ir a comprar los útiles escolares para mi hermanita el día sábado, porque, aunque estaba incierto el día que mi hermanita comenzara clases. Yo decidí también acompañarlos, con la intención de colarme y meter uno que otro cuaderno en esos útiles para cuando inicie las clases de la universidad jaskas.

Hello again, lovely community💛. Today I'm going to share a little bit about my weekend.

My parents had planned to go shopping for school supplies for my little sister on Saturday because, although it was uncertain when my sister would start school, we were all sure it wouldn't be this week, and that's how it turned out. I decided to go with them, with the intention of sneaking in a few notebooks for when I start college.

Así que, mi papá pasó por nosotras (mi mamá, mi hermanita y yo) y fuimos a hacer las compras. Que, mientras mis papás se encargaban de comprar cositas para la casa, mi hermanita y yo nos encargábamos de los útiles. Aunque mi mamá estuvo un buen rato chismeando todo lo que había por ahí jasja.

Lo primero que hicimos fue buscar los cuadernos. Y, la verdad, hace mucho tiempo ya que no nos fijamos en los diseños de los cuadernos, así que, no fue un proceso tan largo, solo unos 20 min en eso jaskjsa, porque a veces nos distraíamos un poco. Luego de tener ya todos los cuadernos seleccionados, fuimos a buscar todo lo demás, como los lápices, marcadores y algunas otras cositas que necesitáramos.

So, my dad picked us up (my mom, my little sister, and me) and we went shopping. While my parents took care of buying things for the house, my little sister and I took care of the supplies. Although my mom spent a long time gossiping about everything that was there.

The first thing we did was look for notebooks. And, honestly, it had been a long time since we had looked at notebook designs, so it didn't take that long, only about 20 minutes, because we got a little distracted at times. After we had selected all the notebooks, we went to look for everything else, like pencils, markers, and a few other things we thought we might need.

Vimos muchas cartulinas de colores, pinceles, libretitas que incluían calculadoras en su portada y muchas más cositas. Hubo un momento en donde veo que mi hermanita y mi mamá están juntas, así que me acerqué a donde estaban y me percaté que estaban viendo pinturas, y empezaron a meter muchas pinturas sin control en el carrito jasjasja. Y yo era quien debía llevar como un calculo de todo lo que llevábamos, así que me lo complicaron un poco, porque todas esas pinturitas tenían precios totalmente diferentes.

We saw lots of colored cardstock, paintbrushes, notebooks with calculators on the cover, and many other little things. At one point, I saw my little sister and my mom together, so I went over to where they were and noticed that they were looking at paints, and they started throwing lots of paints into the cart without any control, ha ha ha. And I was the one who had to keep track of everything we were buying, so they made it a little complicated for me, because all those little paints had totally different prices.

Luego, cuando dejé sola a mi hermanita solo por unos segundos una muchacha le pedía permiso de tomarle una foto a una de las cositas que teníamos en el carrito. Yo toda intrigada me acerqué a mi hermanita para preguntarle qué había pasado. Y me respondió, que, al finalizar nuestra compra, podía participar como en una rifa de la marca Kores porque llevábamos algunos productos de ellos.

Cada persona saldría premiada, algunos premios más grandes que otros, pero nadie se quedaba sin ganar algo. Lastimosamente nosotras no participamos, porque nos tardamos mucho, debido a las largas colas de espera para poder pagar todo.

Then, when I left my little sister alone for just a few seconds, a girl asked her permission to take a photo of one of the things we had in the cart. Intrigued, I went over to my little sister to ask her what had happened. She replied that, at the end of our shopping trip, we could participate in a Kores brand raffle because we had bought some of their products.

Everyone would win a prize, some bigger than others, but no one would leave empty-handed. Unfortunately, we didn't participate because we took too long due to the long lines to pay for everything.

Sin embargo, a pesar de ser un poco agotador, compramos todo lo que necesitábamos en el momento. Mi hermanita llegó toda feliz con sus cosas, así que hizo videollamada con sus amigos para mostrarles todo lo que tenía jasjjas, y yo, como ya hablaba con mi pareja le mostré mis tres cuadernitos también.

However, despite being a little tiring, we bought everything we needed at the time. My little sister was very happy with her purchases, so she made a video call to her friends to show them everything she had, and I, ha ha, talked to my partner and showed him my three notebooks too.
