This Thursday morning, we headed to the market to buy chicken feed.

Our chicken is already 10 months old and any day now, she might start laying eggs.
So to make her healthy and produce good eggs, she needs the right nutrition.
One thing we bought is a bag of layer feed, hoping that because of this, we can already taste her very first egg. Hihi...
After that, we made our way to another part of the market, where sacks of rice are lined up.

Each has a handwritten sign showing their names and prices.
Because rice is a normal thing for us Filipinos, we also bought some.
No meal feels complete without it.
But here, you just need to choose the grains that smell fresh and clean. Coz there's a lot of options, dinorado, special, regular, you just need to smell them one by one. Hehe
After picking the perfect rice and buying some, we started walking through the market on our way home.
Then, there was a familiar smell that stopped me.
It's a freshly steamed puto. 😍

A woman set up a small stall, with her metal steamer.
So every time you order, they cook it for you.

I ordered two, ten pesos each.
While waiting, you can actually watch the vendor place the puto mold on a square piece of fabric, and lift the lids. She'll cook it right in front of you.
She also has different kinds of local snacks and kakanin packed in plastic, but I just prefer this hot, freshly made puto.
As the vendor handed it to us, it was still hot, so I gave one to my hubby.
And you know what's inside?
It has a sweet filling. It's called bukayo or sweetened coconut.

The puto is so soft, fluffy, and at the same time, moist inside. 🤤
I love how it was freshly prepared. ☺️
If you haven't experienced this, I definitely recommend trying this market trip.
You get good value for your ten pesos. 😇
So that's it! That's how my day went last Thursday. 🌷🩷
Until our next visit to the market...
Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸

Thank you @qurator team and @scrooger. 🥰💗
