Past Month

Howdy fellow hivers!
How's life been to you?

Mine's quite a roller coaster. If you noticed on my past posts, I have been very active at work lately...5-day Provincial athletic meet, The 3-day Seminar held at Paradiso, and aside from that, I still have to finish all the paperworks needed for 2 school's Liquidation report. I was exhausted by the travels and I really need a vacation leave but looking at more paperworks, I really can't.

But Yesterday is different. We had our Meeting with our Public Schools District Supervisor. I was also assigned to speak regarding our reports and due dates. I'm scared presenting in front but I do it anyways to help me conquer to my fear. (Im a conqueror...charr). I prepared my slides while heading to the Meeting area which by the way is our PSDS' own resort. It it located at Camp 6, Baguio city.

Azure Riverpool

Me and my fellow workmates met in Baguio and took a Jeepney ride going to Camp 6. Before reaching the resort, we have to cross 2 bridges.

We laughed as ma'am Liezl fear heights. One of our colleagues helped her cross the bridges

Being with these people is fun. Some says that our bond is strong unlike other Districts. We have been helping each other with almost everything. We share info and stuffs that can help us in our Administrative Officer Journey.

Us enjoying our Jeepney Ride. Others are on another jeepney since we didn't fit in one.

The event was hosted by one of the Administrative Assistants and again, Since they are not prepared, they assigned me again to lead an exercise. We danced the chicken dance 🤣.

I love Chicken dance coz it makes us smile while doing it! You try!

After this crazy dance, next in our program is the presentation of the procurement process which our Division Bookkeeper discussed.
This was intentionally for the 2 new AOs but it also became a refresher for us old AOs. Sir Jayson did a great job with his discussion.

And so, my time to discuss came. I was nervous but as I have said, I am a conqueror (of fear) so I presented my rushed slides and since most of the attendees are my fellow AOs, I forgot about my fear, the presence of the Division Bookkeeper and especially our PSDS. It became natural and I enjoyed it.

By the way, we also planned this meeting to be on March 14,2024 since our PSDS would be having his leave starting March 15-20,2024. It's his birthday leave. We also prepared a surprise cake for him. Ma'am Gwen also gave him a gift. Sir Jayson also received a cake as our thank you and goodbye to him since he found a greener pasture.

We snacked for a while and continued our discussions until it was time for lunch. We filled our tummies with Chicken Inasal, rice, and Chopsuey! We though wed have a budget meal cause we only contributed 200 each plus the 2 cakes that was bought.

Our Lunch

With our full stomachs, sir PSDS made us play a game. The first one is the game wherein he will tell a category and you must give him correct answers under that category. The other one is synchronized answering like he will also state a category and then you and your partner must tell the same answer at the same time. I also facilitated something fun. I let them play the :"Guess who's this School Head" where we portrayed our School Heads and let the audience guess who that School Head is, It was fun until one school head came! We stopped the game and pretended it didn't happen.

Swimming Time

I was actually happy that Mr. PSDS let us into his resort for free. He even fixed the venue for us! He also told us to use all the available facilities and so, we went swimming! Only few of us did. I also had time to bond with the new female AO. The water maybe cold but sharing laughter with them became our instant water heater.

I didn't took a photo while we were swimming but in this pic I already changed my formal clothes into this.

I couldn't stay long in the water since I am already tired swimming so I took a bath and went back to our seat. They are having karaoke and so I joined in. I requested for "Let it Go" just for fun and to my surprise, we all sang it! I also danced with my fellow female for fun. I was also complimented by our PSDS for being active on that day. At exactly 5:30, our PSDS called pur attention that the Jeepney ride re requested is already there, waiting so we grabbed our bags, cleaned up a little bit and then went to where the Jeepney parked.

Our PSDS also went to town and one of the AOs asked PSDS if we can have a picture with the Lion's Head, and so being the kind man he is, we did. and here's the photo:

I really enjoyed this day. It maybe exhausting but it felt like I have screamed out all my stress away.

Below are fun images from ma'am Gwen:

Thank you again for being with me with this mini travel of mine. How about you? What became your stress remover lately?

Takeaways

  1. Conquer your fear and challenge yourself. Do it for your self-improvement.

  2. Be you. You may think that you're not enough but it's okay. You cannot please everyone.

  3. Enjoy little opportunities. Don't let it slide. These maybe little but if it can lift even just one sigh from being stressed, then go! Enjoy.

You know my best part attending seminars is always the food 😂🤣... I'd keep rushing the whole event in my head till it gets to refreshments which is always item 7 😃... Talking about takeing a vacation from work, I'm seriously planning some get away to unwind as all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy lol.

Enjoyed reading your activities, felt like I had participated myself 🙂

Thank you so much for time! Yes!!! It's always the food 😁. If the food is not good, the whole trip isn't. 😁

Exactly! 😂

You are welcome 🌹

what a big lunch!!:))
so shining and pleasant people, you all smile, and it's pleasure to look at you;)

do you still wear masks in your place? why?

Thank you! Despite the workload, we really find time to be happy. It's what's good for our mental health.

Regarding the mask, many of us still prefer to use it for health purposes. After pandemic, they continued to wear mask because of the dust.
